No more QB talk till next year. Let's solidify depth and just wait for a real QB class.

We have nothing to play for this year

Have they shown any interest in Carr at all? I know it's a different regime and all, but surely they have to be REALLY sold on Carr given our history with his brother and the crap that would happen if Derek Carr doesn't succeed.

Well, you know that Romeo's 3-4 is based on the DLinemen occupying 2 blockers to open up holes for the linebackers. Forcing a double team is desirable in that scheme. DL does the grunt work, LB gets the glory. It's not the same as Wade's 3-4.

I cant believe the Texans were literally a ~3rd rounder away from getting both Manziel and Clowney in this draft.

    Talk about dropping the ball.

This team never does anything gutsy...never tries to launch one deep. They're content with bloop singles.

Cleveland came away with the best CB and best QB in the draft....great night for those fans.

Heh, the freakout about Bridgewater is almost as funny as the freakout about Arthur Brown last year.....some people never learn. There is no guarantee that the Texans even wanted Bridgewater, in fact, it is just as likely that they'd have passed on him even if he was available as it is them taking him.

I dont think the Texans would have drafted Bridgewater if he was available at 2-1.

The meltdown in that situation would have been 10x worse than what we witnessed with this BBS tonight. In a way, Im thankful we dont have to experience that.

The gutsy thing to do may have been to pass on any of the "top" QBs, particularly the ones getting lots of media attention. We don't know how the Texans rated these guys. I liked Bridgewater, but if the Texasn didn't, then they did what they were supposed to do: not force the pick. If they didn't believe in Manziel, then they shouldn't have concerned themselves with him.

Well, you got what you wanted Bobby. Enjoy the hilarity that is the Houston Texans offense next year. Think I might become a Browns fan! They seem to be happy...

You are welcome to join the fortress of sadness that is the Browns franchise....but what happens if VY wins the starting job? Will you abandon your new team?

My point is that the Texans never swing for the fences...they are content with status quo.

The fear of failure paralyzes them from leaping forward. It's in their DNA.

Just like Kubiak played to not lose, rather than play to win...the Texans, starting with Bob, play the game the same way.
