Looked her up on youtube, she's decent doing other songs and has stated her earpiece wasn't working during the anthem. Still not really explaining why she sang THAT bad, but given her other videos she's not as horrible as this video makers her look.
it's obvious you're just an opera fan but if we're nitpicking what constitutes as good you at least have to get the lyrics right, on the first video he says "for the land of the free" it's supposed to be "o'er the land of the free" second video she's average at best the kid nailed it, his pitch on "o'er land of the free" was clear and enunciated, her's was terribly exaggerated but i digress, you either hate kids or just hate people who don't sing opera
LOL @ that dude is BRITISH. "Let me sing about how my home country lost these territories"... JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA
Here is the worst one ever <iframe width="854" height="510" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ls1YVhcLD2c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah, but...I remember that moment, and Carl Lewis was trying to kickstart a new career as a soul singer. He even released two (failed) albums in the late 80's. He gets cut no slack.
The flaws with Roseanne's were her unnecessary and despicable behavior, and her bizarre indignation and rationalizing it after the fact. That woman was on a much farther trajectory than her attitude would ever let her realize, she could have easily been the next Ellen.
It's the military score of one of the countries that saved them from complete annihilation a lot more recently than 1812.
Roseanne. R Kelly at some boxing event. He tried to make it sound "Cool" like what's his name at the 80? nba all star game. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/C-pFor88OZk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I was gonna post that, lol. You're referring to Marvin Gaye: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/QRvVzaQ6i8A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Those damn drum machines. If he'd done it in the late '60s or early '70s with a full orchestra it would have been amazing. I think Trini Lopez did the first non-traditional one, fairly tame and decently done, but veterans were just not happy.
I'm sorry but this is pretty well composed if not particularly unique or iconic. Very hard to turn a waltz into contemporary music.
