Stopped it before she finished the first two words. Couldn't bear more.

Even based only on that, it has to be in the running for worst ever.

I remember Rozanne Barr's national anthem "rendition" being particularly grotesque.

And that she reveled in the grotesquerie.

Still one of the funniest pop-culture moments in recent history for me...

    Not the worst ever.

It was more laughably bad than cringe worthy bad.

    Uh oh!

There should be a law that no one under the age of 15 is allowed to sing at a major sporting event. Even the "good" kids suck at singing the national anthem. Just get someone who can actually sing, and wrap it up in a timely manner.

The first seconds of "ooohhh" are pure greatness, sounds like someone who goes through the worst pooping session of his life.

"Thanks" for reminding me. Pure crap. These are examples of good versions.

It isn't hard to find people who like to sing, AND are good at it.

Here's why Roseanne's and Carl Lewis' are not in the running. They're Roseanne (comedian) and Carl Lewis (track star). They weren't introduced as "singer/songwriter".

Yeah the singer songwriter intro started it off on the wrong foot. Unless her last name is beethoven, just call her a singer.
