I feel like it will be a DRAKE song, like "Started from the bottom" or something along the lines.

I never said he was a bad prospect, only that given the Texans needs, drafting a WR who would be stuck behind Johnson and Hopkins on the depth chart with the top overall pick would be a waste.

Think I am going to wait and vote in the poll on Friday; I really like being right.

Watkins was injured...??? I thought he was suspended.

Just the same as a true freshman Watkins was an AP First Team All American. Herschel Walker, Marshall Faulk, and Adrian Peterson are the only other ones to do that.

Pass rushers are easy to find. They're on the free agent market every year. Guys like Watkins _ different story...

Ah, so you want a #4 WR with the first pick after a trade down then? HUGE difference.

    Manziel already picking destinations?:

    Updates from Wednesday, May 7

Don Banks of Sports Illustrated broke down the lay of the land as it pertains to interest in Manziel and a potential landing spot:

This week's strong and completely contrasting media reports about Cleveland's intent on drafting Manziel at No. 4 makes his ultimate destination seem a total riddle, but there is one nugget I've gleaned from a source that has insight into Manziel's inner circle. From what I've been told, Manziel's family is not rooting for Houston to be his NFL home, believing that staying in Texas will make his already challenging transition to professional football that much more challenging.

Their thinking is that Manziel will find it far easier to distance himself from his "Johnny Football'' persona and focus completely on football if he's not near the circle of peers who comprised his college-era partying crowd. His family is said to be in favor of anywhere but Houston, but I'd have to think Dallas would pose the same set of complications in their view.

I've also heard that Manziel himself isn't wild about the idea of landing in Jacksonville, one of the NFL's smaller markets, and that the Jaguars would not be his first choice of employers. It's not a preference based on people, only location. But Manziel doesn't get to choose his new workplace address, and quarterback-needy Jacksonville remains very much a possibility as his ultimate destination. There was a Houston Chronicle report on Wednesday morning that had momentum building for the Manziel-Jaguars marriage to unfold Thursday night.

    Clowney signs with Puma:

Just ahead of the 2014 NFL draft, Puma has signed top defensive end prospect Jadeveon Clowney to an endorsement deal.

Darren Rovell of ESPN.com reported the news on Wednesday, adding that the company gave Clowney a pair of custom expensive shoes.

Would anyone else be disappointed if we just end up taking Clowney #1 and aren't able to work out a trade within the top 6 that includes at least a 2nd rounder and 1st?

Disappointed? No, I'd be ecstatic. I think the Texans should keep their pick. It took a season of football hell to earn it, and they should use it, preferably on Manziel or Clowney, probably Clowney. These are the only two prestige players worth the pick. Both would get fans buzzing. Both have massive potential. Both fill a need. My preference is Manziel, but I'll be happy with either.

    Decide, draft, develop, do it.

Too long between the end of football season and the draft. It's been exhausting. How about some comic relief of another brilliant draft?

Nope. The team sucked enough to pick #1. They should walk away with whoever they believe is the best player in the draft.

They now have the coaching staff. Now add the talent.

Yea, you keep thinking he would be stuck behind Dre and Hopkins and or that O'Brien couldn't utilize 3 receivers when he did up in New England. Sammy would beast in the slot. And he can help on special teams.

But we'll see if Clowney can help J.J. shut down Andrew Luck like Seattle and San Francisco did... Lol..

No one should ever be disappointed when their team takes the best player in the draft.

LOL Remii, you are a clown, I'm glad I unblocked you. Despite the fact that your takes are almost always ridiculous, they do make me laugh from time to time.
