It's Clowney. Rick wants a deal that he will never get.

Anybody suggested drafting Clowney, then trading up for Manziel?

I guess this franchise is so un-inventive that craziness like that doesn't even enter the realm of realism.

It'd be a king's random for us to give us considering most believe Manziel will be gone in the top 10.

If he falls big time, which I would say there is a slight possibility, absolutely we should. If we could trade up to 25 and get him, I say you have to.

The Manziel dream is most likely over. That can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Only time will tell....

I don't think they want to give up that many picks to trade up for a question mark like that. I think they could conceivably trade up to the high 20's, but someone will gamble on Manziel before that.

Im wanting Sammy Watkins now. Even though Fitz isnt a "franchise qb", I think if we pick up Watkins, we can easily climb back up to 8-9 wins

Remii must be proud, a second person that thinks a #3 WR should be the target with the #1 pick. Actually, given that a slot guy will probably be playing the #3 it would make Watkins the #4 on the Texans.....great value.

How high would you have to go to get Manziel? Top 10? Top 5? What are you going to trade to move up that far, essentially from a 2nd round pick to a top 5 pick? I'd imagine that pretty much every trade partner would demand a first rounder in THIS draft and the Texans wouldn't have one to give. I think they'd want multiple firsts (2015 and 2016, at least) and #33 considering that they're dropping nearly 32 spots in the draft.

Would that be worth it? Foregoing your first round picks until 2017 (2018?) for Manziel? You might be able to put a cheaper package together to move up and pick Winston or Mariota next year who'll in all likelihood be considered better prospects.

Trade into the bottom of the first round? Feasible. Trading from the 2nd round to Top 5? You're going to have to give up a lot.

I've suggested it numerous times, though Uncle Bob would never consider it.

In my eyes, it would simply be a matter of weighing Manziel vs. next year's QB class (this is all assuming that they take Clowney at 1).

I expect to be picking after 10 in 2015, so, Mariota or the crab thief would also require king's ransoms, with the added possibility of them being unattainable altogether.

I know this is fantasy talk, but I'd go after Manziel for 2 future 1sts and maybe a 2nd or 3rd.

Moreover, I think it would be weighing Manziel vs the QB's available in the 2nd and at least in my opinion, the guys that would be available in the 2nd plus the picks they'd have to give up are more valuable than Manziel.

Only the future determines that, but I'd applaud them for the aggression.

People crap on the Skins giving the world for RG3, but that's all hindsight, IMO. He's stunk, gotten injured, and the picks have ended up being at the top of the draft because of their suckitude. Pretty much all worst-case scenarios, yet I still don't think it's exactly set their franchise back an appreciable amount - they were floundering and hadn't had a real QB in years before the trade.

If Manziel is good enough, the future 1st rounders given up for him would be somewhere in between the teens to the very end of the 1st round.

Strike while the iron is hot. Worry about the rest later. This franchise has by and large sucked for 10 years. They have nothing to lose. And they should be attempting to win ASAP at all costs anyway.

Yeah I saw this from quite a few sources earlier today, they started to come out about the same time as the quotes from Clowney about him not thinking that the Texans would pass on him. There's just a ton of rumors all saying the same thing

So it's now looking like Clowney, Robinson, or trade.

Yea Bobby. Sammy is garbage. He would be the #4 receiver on this team because the receivers we have are so much better than him.
