Speaking seriously and not tongue and cheek as earlier you should never get in a street fight to begin with. Even for people who are trained there is too much unpredictable that can go wrong and I always tell my students the street isn't a dojo or a ring. That said if you do have to fight to defend yourself or someone else everything is fair. The biggest problem with guys throwing kicks is not that they aren't fair but that a lot of people do them wrong. High kicks and spin kicks are very risky and even Taekwondo black belts often lose their balance throwing them in competition. They also leave you very open for counter attacks. Kicks can be very effective in a fight but generally low kicks at the legs and no higher than the midsection.
