I read it as, BoB once assesed that we had no slot receiver, yet after viewing the roster (on the field) has changed his assessment. Is that not how it was meant?
I think the real question is, when will Clowney be incorporated in to goal line situations as a RB. I kid, I kid.
All you need to know about Mike Thomas in one video. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/GlvOUG8nuZ4?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And to continue the theme of tweets about that Texans killer. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>B4 O'Brien said he didn't see a slot WR on <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Texans&src=hash">#Texans</a>. Said after a few practices, few guys have the skills to fill role including Mike Thomas</p>— James Palmer (@JPalmerCSN) <a href="https://twitter.com/JPalmerCSN/statuses/464129804443615232">May 7, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Well that would be a good thing wouldn't it...??? Whichever one he thinks it is should see a lot of action.
Ok Mr Drafting Anyone Other Than Clowney Is Ludicrous.... I can't wait for the season to start. It's going to be a fun year
Man, if Mike Thomas is beating out the youngins' in Posey, Martin, Bonner that does not bode well for the reciever evaluations of Rick Smith and Gary Kubiak. Schmucks.
It is when your owner claims to the media that Clowney is the BPA(all while being a position of need). Nobody should go number one, except Clowney. Mack and picks is acceptable from 3-6.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>We spent months talking about Clowney’s effort issues. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Texans&src=hash">#Texans</a> do not believe it’s an issue. For them, if you watch 2012 tape, no concern</p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/statuses/464135077182857216">May 7, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
You mean the same owner who brought in Ed Reed... The same owner who allowed guys to get contract extensions coming off of injury... The same owner who backed Kubiak on not needing Manning because we had Schaub... Is that the owner you speak of...??? We'll see who the actual best player ends up being and if the Texans have a Seattle type defense with Clowney. The field of play is where we will see what's "ludicrous" or not. Simple as that...
Albert Breer (link to video) breaks down the Texans power structure as O'Brien has control over the 53-man roster and Smith has control over the draft board and free agency. If there is a tie on big decisions (like the #1 overall pick), McNair will break it. Interesting video... assuming McNair wants Clowney, Smith wants Mack, and O'Brien wants a QB.
