yeah I started a thread about club some that met with lukewarm reception. Club 6400 huh? getting old but not as old as red square or power tools. Anyone hear ever go to surf side sallies or senoritas in the village? Bronx bar and baker street owners owe their souls to the guys that opened senoritas. For bar historians besides the the gingerman it was senoritas that really started the young hipster crowd in rice village.

Much like when it was originally posted in 2008, my reaction to the reappearance of this thread was the possibility of having to deny OP's paternity.

I love it when this thread pops up every few years -- so many great times at Numbers.

My nephew and the future Mrs. Nephew went to Numbers every weekend, seemingly forever. Heck, during the week, as well. The summer of 1980 was when I finally moved to Austin, so I largely missed out on that scene and probably would have passed on it anyway had I not moved. Not because it wouldn't have been fun. I'm sure all of you had a groovy time. My nephew and his friends certainly did. It's just that I'm what would probably be called a "Classic Rock" guy now, although it was all new when I got into rock and all its permutations. Of course, if I happened to be stoked to the gills (not that I ever was, mind you), I've no doubt that I would have had a great time. After all, if it's music you can dance to, what's wrong with that? Absolutely nothin'! (say it again!) ;-)-

You would have been wigging so hard you wouldn't have cared what was playing.
