Drunk on syrup and sweet Manziel Kool-Aid. I noticed this wasn't posted here and just saw it on my timeline (it was posted at 11:55 am today). I think he is just trying to generate buzz and hits. I want Manziel but I've come to terms with the fact that we won't take him 1.1. If I'm wrong it will be the most happy I've ever been as a Texans fan.
I don't believe he would play on the DL. He might be behindish JJ as a 3-4 LB. That means we would trade Mercilus.
It means he's drunk and that he's planning on murdering people with an axe. Probably best to stay away from Pancakes for the foreseeable future.
Well from what they are saying 70% of the time they'd be in sub packages where Clowney would be slotted as a DE, the 30% of the time they'd be in base he'd be the elephant OLB which is essentially a DE that is standing up.
Those experts were comparing Bush to Gale Sayers and VY had one of the best college careers of all time with a championship on his way out the door. It was a lot of media hype on those guys and the Texans drafted Mario out of no where which shows McNair cares nothing about the "consensus" pick in the media. But Mario was a beast his final year in college. If the Texans draft Clowney it may just be the 1st time EVER a pass rusher with 3 sacks got drafted #1 over all. They can make history. At least that's what the consensus wants them to do.
I listened to pancakes on the radio last week. He said some major national guy was tweeted that he enjoyed watching McClain go crazy in the week leading up to the draft. McClain said he wanted to tweet that as a reference to the scene in "The Shining" where Nicholson busts through the door with an axe. So, it's kind of an inside joke by pancakes.
Bortles just does not excite me not sure if he will work out . . . got a worse feeling about him than Manziel Rocket River
Most drafts have Manziel as the first or second QB in the draft - while few would debate he's the #1 pick in this draft I think it's safe to say he plays the position we need most of all. If we had won one or two more games this season and were picking in the 4-9 range I think there would be a lot less hesitation on us taking him. The fact that he'd be playing with undying support of hometown fans (something that's probably not going to be the case for Bridgewater/Bortles) and is by all accounts a top 3 QB out of this draft I think he's the pick we need to take...regardless if we were at #1 or not.
Could not have said it better myself. I feel like he and Watkins will be the two best players to come out of this draft.
What I think is missing from the Mack conversation is the fact that he played in the MAC.....put Clowney in the MAC and it looks like this
Don't say Watkins. Possibly drafting the best player out the draft is r****ded according to some. Detroit thinks differently though. And they already have Mega, just signed Tate, but they love Sammy. But the Texans receiving core is already too good so we don't need him http://fansided.com/2014/05/06/nfl-draft-rumors-detroit-lions-serious-trading-sammy-watkins/#!JSGZL And Buffalo wants to trade up for Watkins too. Watkins may be the trade bait if the Texans want to trade back.
Pancakes is trolling. Even if the Texans were planning to draft Manziel, or had a pre existing deal in place to trade down for him, it's doubtful that he'd know for certain. All I want is for the B Ob to reel in either Manziel or Clowney, one or the other. My preference is Manziel, but I'm OK with Clowney. Those are the two players who will get me counting the days until opening kickoff. My prediction, though, is Clowney. He's got the upside and he fills a need.
Shouldn't the texans already be announcing who they're going to draft number 1? I remember texans deciding on mario Williams a couple of days before the draft.
I think what you're missing is Mack played teams outside the MAC and looked like this: http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GILo4Ap9xb0 IMO Mack is the better prospect. I see Mack as D. Ware 2 and Clowney as Mario lite.
