I wish it were real. Texans fleece Jerry for anything of value, Cowboys select Manziel, hilarity ensues.

Who am I kidding, the Texans could never pull a Morey on anyone.

Is Louis Nix going to be there at 2.1?

I'd think you would give him a look at that spot.

Yeah, but it's really more that he's only suited to play in that system more than anything. His skills call for him to be a 3 tech in a one gap 4-3 as opposed to a 5 tech in a 3-4 and he absolutely couldn't be a 0 or 1 tech as a NT. I expect him to be a beast of a player, but he needs to be in the right system.

    Fleecing is an understantement

Romo a 1st or two and a second would be akin to armed robbery

Louis Nix is hard to place. He has seriously jacked up knees and failed all kinds of medical exams at the combine. He has top 15 pick talent, but the injury concerns could push him out of the first entirely.

If Bill O'Brien comes from the Belichick school of thought, he is gonna try robbing someone for the #1 pick.

Maybe they should pick a new drafter.

I had a post about this over a month ago, I pointed out that no Belichick disciple had ever picked a QB with their first pick in the first round and suggested that the only way I saw a QB picked would be if they traded back into the first round and got him with a second pick. I don't think they'll trade down for a QB, but I could see them trying to rob someone and going after someone like Mack at 6. At the end of the day, I think they pick Clowney and never look back.

The 1st thing I wanted them to do was hire a new GM before they hired a new coach. Rick Smith is in a lame duck situation.

I want them to trade the pick. I believe this team is knocking on the door of a rebuilding situation and not a reloading situation. If they keep the pick they should draft Sammy. Hopkins isn't that good and his rookie season was nothing to brag about considering he didn't have to face double teams and or the opposing team's best corner. Dre took all the attention and all Hopkins could do was catch the ball and get tackled... And I'm not convinced he's better than Posey.

If not Sammy... G Robinson. That way they can just hand the ball to Foster and run him until his legs fall off.

I like Jeremiah Attaochu in the 2nd round if they want to draft a OLB. I think he's just as good if not better than Mack and Clowney.

Who ever says Hopkins isnt good need to stop watching football.
Last time I checked, 52 catches for 802 yards and 2 tds for a rookie given our QB situation all season is damn good. Just wait till we get a QB that is worth something and Hopkins will be having 1000 yard seasons.

I'm not going to have a problem until I have seen how the player performs. I've gotten to the point where I think any of the projected players will work with the right coach and the right system.

Like I would hate if they pick Bortles, for instance, as the #1 pick and the dude can't beat out Case and Fitzpatrick in camp/pre-season.

Who said that? Remii? If it was Remii, you should know better than to listen to anything he says, he doesn't even believe that BS himself.

800+ yards in a rookie season is AMAZING especially if you do it while showing off the second best hands in the league behind only Larry Fitzgerald.

Im convinced the pick should be Jadeveon Clowney. Him and Watt combined will make Mercilus and the DB better. It's not sexy, but it does improve a defense that needs to replace or supplement players who just aren't talented enough to get the job done at their position.

Oh wow, that really is pretty bad.

I guess if you are going to say something stupid you might as well go all out.

I'm a little intrigued by the idea of doing something like trading down with someone like Dallas, then trading down again to the early 20 ' s and matching that with a stockpile of 2nd rounders picked up on the way.

If they could turn #1 overall into something like Hageman, Nix, and Attaochu, or Shazier, Nix, and Tuitt or something like that, in addition to their own 2nd round pick to drop on a QB...

That would be a pretty exciting haul, at least for me.

You just went full r****d. Never go full r****d. Wide receivers are VERY risky to draft in the 1st let alone top 10. Unless you have a physical freak like Megatron who has everything size, skill, and speed you are an idiot if you draft WR with a top ten pick if you don't have to.

And lets not forget Nuk Hopkins had the second best season for a rookie WR second to keenan allen who had a revitalized phillip rivers throwing to him. If Hopkins had that kind of talent at the QB position he would have had a lot more yards.
