That sort of makes the case for him at ILB though. I don't know if it will work, but that's the only way to salvage anything of him at this point.

I think that's an excellent way to get Rick Smith fired. However, it seems to be a nice haul, whoever replaces Smith will have some decent tools to rebuild the team.

Our lack of td's from the WR core was mainly because of Mr. Kubiak's offense. I think Watkins is a great prospect but considering all the holes our team has drafting a WR when they already just spent a #1 last year on one (that actually turned out to be good) is ridiculous. If Hopkins would have been a bust then I could see going after Watkins.

Dre has about 2 years left of top quality WR in him, by then Hopkins can easily be the #1 with Dre being a decent #2.

Trade from 9 to 8 to select Bortles? Why would you have to trade 1 spot?
If the team at 8 is willing to trade you the pick (i would think they wouldnt want to draft Bortles there) Correct?

Envisioning how horribly this place will errupt after our pick and then every pick thereafter.

Everyone has their opinions and in their opinion they're right. Lol.

I'll take the guy who can possibly give us double digit TD's and scare the hell out of opposing defenses and open up the field for Dre and Hopkins and make Fitzpatrick (or Teddy or whoever they get) over a guy who can possibly give us double digit sacks and give our offensive minded head coach more weapons.

Seattle and San Francisco hardy got to Luck last year by the way.... But Clowney or Mack would be a wonderful decision.

I just think to trade from 1 to 9th (you are giving away instant impact players) on the cheap... I wouldnt do this trade at all..

the lowest should be around 6th (and i still think that to high)

just announce that you will select Clowney now/today (and if a team gets desperate and offers you a whole lot for the pick you trade it), but at this point the best tatical move would be to annouce your pick now..,.

dont understand why wait, i think the more you wait/and closer it gets the pressure actually builds on you..

Who knows? Maybe Vrabel can get more out of the line backers.

Don't know how the Texans feel about Blake for them to draft him but I like the trade with Buffalo.

Texans had a top three offense in the league and still couldn't stop Brady.

Oh and by the way, the Super Bowl winner was Seattle.

when do you guys think we will know the selection? (do you think we wont know anything until the pick is announced)

Do you think something will get leak soon (usually does)?

Do you think a trade is agreed on today/tomorrow before the Draft?

Tough call. My guess is Vikings owner calls Texans owner and says "hey we are drafting Bortles unless you are interested in trading". Texans make offer. Vikings accept.

Why are you so worried about Luck, our offense is decent enough if we just upgrade our QB. Our defense is piss poor, we need to improve that as much as possible.

I think we will know just as soon as they come back from commercial and tell us what the Texans picked while the Bug Light ad was playing.

Bortles is not a sexy pick, but the haul for #1 is pretty nice.

Well if they did make that insane trade and pick Bortles at 9, no one will ever be able to say that Rick Smith isn't a brave man. IMO it would be like playing Russian Roulette with 5 bullets in the chamber, it could end well, but I'm betting on "bang" rather than "click"

    Food for thought.
