The issues with the line can be solved in ways apart from pick 1.1. Other selections, free agency, and scheme will all factor in. I am hoping they pick up a gargantuan nose tackle, though.

I actually like Mack, but not # 1 (you have to take the best player avaialble at # 1 .

My dream scenario is a trade down and still be able to get Mack or even Mathews or Greg Robinsin

2nd RD- Teddy Bridgewater/ or i know you might not like it but Derek Carr would be a good pick there (I think he will go in the 1st round though

If he was that, then sure. He's not. Best case scenario on Mack is that he's sort of a lesser version of Clay Matthews. Worst case scenario....well, watch his tape against Baylor.

I like him too, I would just prefer we pick a guy who can help our pass rush and who can be versatile and play several positions on the line.

I wouldn't mind Bridgewater or Carr in the 2nd round, I've actually been talking about Derek Carr for about 2 years now. He's got all the tools he needs and by a lot of accounts, he's the best pure passer in the draft, but there are obviously questions about how he handles the blitz that IMO should make him potentially drop to the 2nd.

Lol, no he's not. He doesn't have anywhere near the freakish combination of size/speed/strength that Dre had coming out. I think Watkins is a risk at his size.

not saying we must take Clowney or must address pass rush at 1.1, but helping JJ is a need that must be addressed somewhere

I think Watkins will be a very good NFL WR, but if he was in Houston, he'd be the #3 guy behind Johnson and Hopkins. It wouldn't make any sense for the Texans to draft him when they have actual needs to address.

drafting Mack 1.1 IS addressing the pass rush..

he's cut from the von miller cloth, but he's not a bone head.

Yikes....I knew crazy opinions like this existed, but it's another thing to see them. I honestly have no idea how anyone could think that having seen both of them play. Mack is a speed rush guy who can take advantage if he's unblocked on a play but that's about his extent of pass rushing, Clowney is a massively disruptive pass rushing beast.

Yes he is... Sammy gets that YAC, runs like a running back after the catch, and he doesn't need directions to find the end zone _ and he's much faster.

He's bigger than Steve Smith so I wouldn't worry about his size. He's the safest pick amongst the top players and he also fills a need... Our OLB's had more sacks than our receiving core had TD's. Yikes...!!!!

Stop it dude, Manziel is not happening

Its mack or trade down at this point

LOL, Mack IS the trade down. Are you so bitter about being wrong that you can't just admit that the obvious pick is Clowney if they keep the first pick?

The best part of the draft is that we won't have to see your drivel in these threads any more.

I'm sure we'll see it in other threads, but at least it wont be about the draft.

Yeah, Remii is "special" like that. He thinks that #3 WR should be a priority.....or rather that's his story because he knows no one else would agree.

Yes please. I think Manziel must have slept with the dudes mother the way he has to snap at anybody who even mentions Manziel in a post. Damn the franchise, I want to draft Manziel just to see endoftheworld cry.
