    Homeland did pretty well doing essentially the same thing as 24. Especially Season 1.

    I watched 24 and had a lot of fun. It was pretty satisfying to have Jack bite out the jugular vein of remorseless killer. But I always thought of it, like I thought of The Sopranos, as a dark comedy of absurd stereotypes.

    I wonder if they won't slip in a little cultural change, like having an innocent man mistakenly tortured.

    I can't remember how the last season ended. Did he go into hiding? Or, is that just expected at the end of every season that concludes a major storyline that he went off grid or would be arrested?

    I can't wait to see how it starts up again. What hole is he going to come out of exactly? Also, I could swear the last time we saw his SO (Audrey?) who is back...she was bat***** crazy after hanging with Jack a while and then being tortured by the Chinese I think. Is she magically all better now? She was empty with a blank stare last time we saw her from my recollection.

    You should be able to. I started watching it at around season 5 with my parents, and though I didn't understand everything at first, it was fairly easy to pick up.

    The thing they don't know about Kate is she used to date a fellow named...Dexter. ;)

    It seems pretty obvious by now Jack set himself up to be caught to rescue Chloe.

    I really liked the whole escape plan as well as the idea of using drones for the main conflict.
