Agreed. This was probably the worst episode of the show in terms of storyline. The fight scene was nice, but I felt like the story itself didn't move at all.
Thought there'd be much more reaction to the episode's revelation of the fact that it was Littlefinger that engineered the death of Jon Arryn (and not Cersei), then had Lysa send the letter to her sister blaming the Lannisters, pretty much setting in motion the War of the Five Kings and the premise of the entire show.
Yeah this was easily the worst episode of the season (still not bad though). Very filler-ish, but the fight at Craster's Keep was pretty damn cool, though.
Well, Lysa did, but it was Littlefinger that convinced her to do it. This is kind of a big deal that I hope doesn't get overlooked by fans that have moved on. We haven't heard about Jon Arryn for a long time and I fear that the mystery of his death has been somewhat forgotten. His death is the event that starts the story. It's why Robert has to ask Ned to be the new Hand of the King. And it's why Ned accepts, so he can investigate the murder (which he believes is the case because Littlefinger had Lysa write Cat telling her so). This is the thing that sets everything else in motion.
Yeah, that was a pretty huge bombshell of a revelation that most people who watch the show probably had forgotten all about by this time.
One thing for sure: Lysa is one crazy, jealous b****. And then Sansa finds out Lysa wants to marry that little **** Robin to her, her own damn cousin.
Well, the scales have been tipping way in favor of just rape, rape, rape. So they need some incest in there to balance it out a bit.
I agree the episode felt like a filler. The whole Bran slipping out the back door unnoticed was a bit anticlimactic. And none of the women felt they needed to mention Bran being there? This is what happens when you deviate from a good story. The best part is when Arya tried to stab the Hound.
