I definitely don't blame him on that one because it was fcking Harden telling them to switch at the end. Beverley is supposed to guard Lillard. Like I said, this team has some stupid players. They're talented but they're also stupid. Like for example, did you see Howard getting pumped fake by Lopez as he drove by him to the hoop?? How stupid that...you don't EVER worry about Lopez shooting 10 footer, let alone getting pump fake out of your shoes lol. And how many times did you see Howard getting that stupid goaltending call? I would say probably at least once a game. Need to use that fcking brains if we're going to be good. Talents is one thing, but to be stupid is quite another. I believe that Rockets lost this series not because of talents but because not a smart team.
And thats the thing, the team takes on the idiocy of the head coach a lot of the time. I've been saying the team as a whole has low bball IQ, that's even more reason why you need a better coach. This whole thing is just baffling and causing me to not have much faith in this organization anymore.
This team isn't serious about winning a championship. They want a super up tempo offense and play like a poor man's version of the 05-08' Phoenix Suns. Its increasingly difficult to rally behind them when decisions like these blow your ****ing mind.
I think Les Alexander have given Morey the full authority for this team, and for someone like Morey to have full control of the team he needs someone like Mchale, a puppet which would allow Morey to run the show behind close doors. Just my Opinion
I saw Mchale partying it up with larry byrd and Cobert Parish last night at a scrip club. we have to get rid of him if we want to take the next step. coaching matters. even with the twitter afficionado, this defense was awful at defending the most used set in the nba.
I didn't say I was going to "boycott" the team, I just don't have as much faith in the organization and choosing to not be as emotionally invested in the team at this point. Excuse me for not being a blind, Pollyanna fan like yourself. After seeing this team in the regular season and post season under this coach, I'm just taking a realistic approach at this point.
Gotcha. When you said "The organization doesn't deserve one fan in the stands. Not one." you meant that u were gonna give your love to the undeserving Rockets anyway. How sweet of you. Meanwhile b****ing the whole time on a fan site called CF. What a perfect combination of unconditional love and endless whining you are.
Its all about business. They gonna be nervous if the sales goes down way down. Now we need to give em pressure. Cant let them fool us like this.
I can almost guarantee that if he's around next season, the empty seats at Toyota Center will outnumber seats with fans in them.
Don't care who the coach is. I will be there for my usual 4-6 games just like every year. Bringing back McHale is not a protest/boycott level offense. Not even close.
So a roster full of talents, has the biggest man in the game, borderline superstar like Harden, a team full of supporting cast, the best 7 footer off-the bench in the NBA. first round exit last year first round exit this year Then how the **** bringing this guy back isn't protest/boycott level offense...??
First off I'm firmly in the group that feels that coaching is only like 10% of it and talent is 90% of it. Last years result was just about exactly what should have been expected. This year while the end result isn't what we wanted I don't look at it as, we lost and that's it. It was a damn close series. Yes I think we should have won, but it wasn't some embarrassing shellacking. Overall win loss record, point differential, injuries, year to year player improvement all have to be considered, not just the end result of a first round exit. May just be me, but I don't think the roster is as talented as some make it. Not to mention unbelievably young. If it was Harden, Howard and a set of role players like we had before we got H&H then I would agree, but that's not what it was. It was vet min guys and guys in their early 20s. I also don't think we had the right pieces around our guys. Too much offense and not enough defense. Too many so so 3 point shooters forced into dead eye shooting roles. But that's how it had to be with the way the offseason went. This was year 1 with Howard and we didn't have the flexibility to put the right pieces around our stars. I want to see how well the system goes with the right guys. I just don't think the approach of keeping some semblance of familiarity coaching wise to go along with improving the roster is something to boycott or protest.
Not to mention the ever so popular opinion of JVG at the end of the Spurs Mavs game was he was glad to hear they are keeping McHale around another year. Saying something along the lines of it's not good to overreact after a disappointing loss in a playoff series.
Yo...ya'll can blame McHale until the cows come home. He's not the reason we lost this series, the Blazers are. Lillard hit a great shot, plain and simple. The best team won. It's not McHale's fault Harden didn't play up to par through game 5, or Parsons plays so sporadic. You're stupid if you expected us to get to the finals. This team hasn't even been playing with each other for a year. Spurs built a dynasty that has been tested in this first round by the 8th seed Mavs. Just face it, the Western conference is the beastiest it's been ever. Any given game can go either way any night. Lin choking isn't McHales fault. The bad call by the ref isn't Mchale fault. TF do yall expect, for us to blow out every team and go 82-0. Get outta here. Its the NBA. Tell me how often do y'all go to work or school every single day and blow your sh** out of the water?...or how often do you get a 100 on every test? Never. Damn, quit being so soft and willing to quit all the time. You have to fail before you can be great. Lakers, Bulls, Heat, Spurs...everybody goes through it.
Then I won't watch the rockets until hes fired cuz were guaranteed to be playing like a$$ backwards idiots, and you shouldn't either instead of being enabling "Fans".
Sure the best team won, it's just we are supposed to be much better than this blazer team. I don't care if that last shot went in or not. With this roster and you had 6 close games with portland, it's on coach. The expectation is to be much better than this.
We were supposed to tank last year w/ a horrible squad and we gave the Thunder a run for their in the first round and y'all wanted McHale out. Now we get a brand new team and go through the hardest first round matchup of our lives and y'all want to blow shyt up again. Let us build first and get the right pieces before we make any assumptions. GSW apparently want Mark Jackson out as coach too. We'll never get anywhere changing coaches every year. There's no uniformity. Any coach can suck with any team. It doesn't matter if you're a good coach or a suck coach. You learn together and improve together. Regardless of what y'all say, Mcahales got some heart. His daughter died, he still fought. We have a new team, let us improve.....together.
