The one thing this team needs is a career .621 FT shooter to go with a career .574 FT shooter.

If you watched any Boston games this year you would know that Rondo couldn't stay in front of his man defensively. He had the worst DefRtg on a bad defensive team. Beverley is probably a better defender than Rondo @ this point in their careers.

Rondo came back from an ACL injury to a team destined for the lottery..

Yep. I'd love Rondo, but Lowry might be a better fit. Lowry's will to win is incredible

Rondo basically gives us a bye in the 1st round! No way we lose to a 5 seed or lower with him running the show.

Would gladly take Lowry back also.

Either one of them takes us to another level IMO

What happens when teams back off him and dare him to shoot?

I think Lowry would be preferable for sure.

Lowry is gonna cost 10-12 million. doesn't he need the ball to be effective? he jacks up a lot of shots and just runs down the lane for a foul. would be ironic tho if they resigned him

    Rajon Rondo >>> Kyle Lowry

Rondo was injured and Lowry had a career year. Don't get it twisted though Rondo is better than Lowry and what we need on this team. He makes everyone better, his feistiness, leadership, vision, ability to step up in big games. Just a few years ago the dude was nearly averaging a triple double an entire series. I've always been high on Rondo though.. I just love his game and what he brings to the table. I think a lot of people forget exactly how good Rondo was/is. I certainly remember.

even though rondo can't shoot. if mchale's not going to be tough on the players, maybe rondo will.

The last time he was in the playoffs, the Celtics lost b/c the Heat kept giving Rondo open jumpers, and he kept missing.

Yes, it was all because Rondo couldn't shoot. It had nothing to do with the fact that LeBron went full on beast mode and turned the corner in his career as a playoff choker to becoming one of the Elite GOATs.

Rondo led that team filled with guys past their prime as the best player and nearly eliminated the Heat. That's how good he is.

He can if you throw in Parsons. Frankly, I don't like the notion that Chandler is so untouchable that you pass on an opportunity to upgrade the PG or PF position. If you can do it, do it (IMO).
