Perhaps, but I am not as confident as Ashby seems to be that he would have had the runner out. Later in the game, if it's close, he should definitely have taken the chance. First inning, get that sure out.
Collin is coming back down to earth, and Springer is once again having issues in the outfield. So whose the first pick in 2015?
Damn this is tough to watch, has any professional team (any sport) ever had the top overall pick 4 years in a row?
Earlier Ashby says that if Springer has success batting 6th, then the fans will say it is due to him batting 6th and that is not correct. Now he says that you cannot move Villar out of the 9th spot because he's hitting well there.
Yea, it is nice to see Villar doing so well though. Just turned 23 a couple of days ago. Right now him, Castro and Altuve look like guys that could be regulars on a winner. Probably gonna take more than 3 though

Him or Altuve, the base running mistakes by Altuve are inexcusable, but other than that he has been outstanding
Unless Williams is valuable in the club house, I'd rather see Clemens or another young pitcher getting his innings.
I was in Houston this weekend and went to my first Astros game in years. The stadium is a total morgue, almost no atmosphere to speak of. It didn't help that even though we had tickets for the upper deck, a section usher still felt compelled to make us move seats from one upper deck section to another. They were lucky to have 9,000 people there yesterday and the team still wants to badger people about moving seats in the upper deck? It's not like we were trying to sneak down to field level.
