This makes no sense. SG and C are the two weakest positions in the league. Having the 2 best at those positions doesn't guarantee anything when the best overall players are at other positions.

I'll take what we got from this season - building chemistry was what was important and we finished with it. As much struggle as the other teams in the West are having in the first round I'm okay with losing with a still healthy team (no destroyed ankles or torn ACL's).

Looking at how the other elite teams will get better next year I like our odds far better with expiring contracts in Lin and Asik and fast rising young players in Jones and Daniels.

At the end of the day only one team walks away with rings - if expectations weren't to make an honest run at them I'll take this season for what it was originally intended to be after we signed Howard...development and chemistry as a unit.

Next year we will be better - no question.

Ok lets not drama too much!

Ok that shot was a lucky shot. Knowing we cant be beat at home. We prolly wouldve taken the series. But it didnt work out that way.

I wouldn't call this a disappointing season even though I thought we would advance past the 1st round. We had a 50+ season and played an evenly matched Portland team who wanted it more than we did. Each game was winnable and very entertaining.

Next season my expectation will be higher. I believe Morey will build a stronger bench, team chemistry will be 100 times better and McHale will do a better job coaching.

McHale IMO should have had T. Jones playing safety. He shouldn't have been guarding the inbounder. I knew Lillard was going to get the ball so im sure McHale and crew knew as well. I would have made sure dude was doubled.

Typical fan reactions. They sell you the dream but the reality is we dont have a strong bench so we had to rely on all our starters all season and all playoffs. Hence at the end, we were battered and sick. Look at what san antonio has accomplished with a strong bench. About the loss, its too bad. You have to look at what occurred throughout the whole season. Go rockets. Efff the nba and the refs!

My thoughts precisely.... hopefully we can steal kevin love from minny. Or, we can maybe do what miami did and ask a discount from our stars to get him.

I was really confident about the 2nd round, WCF would be fantastic, but I never thought it was realistic - because at that level, in-game adjustment would be crucial, and I don't trust McHale in that department.

We can say all we want about needing time to gel, injuries, and refs etc. 0-2 at home was too much of a disappointment.

I will say it again, I absolutely hated the celebrating tone before the series, how beating Blazers would just be formality, and how Morey came out to announce that was our most favorable match-up.

As a GM, he's getting too much attention, way more than he should have. Just like those NBA officials, it's just ridiculous how they are all house-hold names.

I cannot remember what my prediction was at the beginning.

Once the playoff teams were set, I felt we could make it to the WCF before getting clobbered by OKC or LAC. Never imagined we would be out in the first round again

By All Star break, I was thinking second round, maybe WCF. Right after the first of the year, the team looked like it might even go further, but by the last month of the season, they limped into the playoffs. Not really surprised they were bounced from the first round. They ended the regular season playing horribly. Injuries were a factor, but not the whole story. Amazingly poor defense was.

    I won't write a paragraph.

Talent took us this far. No defense.

    Thats it.

I was looking forward to 2nd round at least, however Im not completely shock at our exit if LMA and Liliard played as best as they could play. I wasnt expecting any defence so if Utah played to their potential I figure it would be a tough series.

Thought we'd make it to the 2nd round.

2nd round. We had HCA and we blew BOTH games. Unacceptable. Had we gone 1-1, we'd be looking at a game 7. This team needs to grow more. Sloppy execution at the end of games, lax defensive assignments and overall head in their asses when it comes to playing proper basketball. Maybe I just had lofty expectations but... man, it would have been nice to watch more Rockets basketball during this time for a change.
