I wish we could get Doug Collins. With superstar players I think he could be amazing.

I think of it like this, do you want rondo and ariza or parsons and lowry? I believe in eite players with championship experience. Rondo, even if he wasn't the main dude on the 1st title team, after that,he was th dude. Ariza plays well in the moment and has displayed that in the playoffs. To get rondo, its gonna take parsons because of his value,a young player(d-mo) and a contrac (asik, lin) . They would have to convince ariza to take the mle. Maybe they could squeez enough out and pay deng 8m,but not we're in lt land.

I also think a lot of the improvement can come from player improvement. I think harden playing with howard another year and understanding how he makes his job so much easier is key. If the rockets get rondo or even lowry, those guys will make harden and howards job a lot easier anyway.

Get rid of all the worthless players we have on the bench. Casspi, Lin, Jordan, Garcia, D-Mo. The Rockets need some real depth and some tough veterans off the bench. As much as I love Beverly, the Rockets need another PG that is just as good or better.

Coaching is also a big problem for this team. McHale is simply a player's coach because he let them do whatever they want. McHale doesn't hold anyone accountable. The Rockets need a strategic coach that will also emphasizes on defense.

The Rockets defense need big improvements and the Rockets need a better offensive system as well. Majority of our offense is ISO Harden, Howard postups, and pick and roll. Watching the Clippers and Warriors game 7 tonight made me realized how simple our offense is. The Rockets may have one of the top offensive games in the league due to great offensive players in Harden, Parsons, Lin and Howard, but they can't rely on just fast breaks, 3 pointers and Howard post play. They need real ball movement instead of just passing the ball around aimlessly.

Morey has a lot of work this off season. But I'm afraid Morey will continue to go after 3rd string guys like Casspi to fill in our bench for cheap or sign guys from D-League. Morey hasn't been aggressive at all when going after veterans. If the Rockets don't want a repeat of TMac/Yao era, then they need some real depth and a great coaching staff.

Mo williams came off as a vet for portland and for houston our vet off the bench was asik and lin two players with very limited playoff experience. We need a dude tht has much more playoff experience. I would love to bring in nash but he probably hates dwight right now. We need a guy like chauncey billups, but even him i dont think he wants to leave detriot. Any other veteran player? Maybe steve blake? Shaun livingston? Paul pierce? I would love kg but we saw this year HE IS DONE. Dirk would be perfect but he would never leave dallas. I think realistically we are down to
    Steve blake
    Paul pierce
    Carlos Boozer
    Shawn marion
    Jermaine oneal
    Vince carter
    Carlos delfino ;)
    Mike miller

Kevin Mchale is the worst playoff coach I've ever seen... I'm sick just thinking about him coaching next year. I don't want to see it... I see us losing in controversial matters for years to come.

If a series that really could've been a 4-0 sweep if not for Troy Daniels, Elie, Hakeem and Dwight...

Indeed.... If that isn't enough for Morey... nothing will be... A lot of people are seeing a Kubiak situation happening here... and I'm McHale's option is indeed picked up for next season... I can see it happening...

Hollins is still a better coach than Mchale. I want Mchale to stay though, because he was one of my favorite players growing up as a kid.

That's the very reason why anyone in the media is defending McHale... Congratulations for being part of the problem, instead of the solution...

We need a third man more than a 6th man, the Thunder have Ibaka, the Clippers have DeAndre, the Spurs have Ginobili, the Heat have Bosh....

Asik plays the same place as Howard (and honestly DeAndre is better), Parsons and Lin just don't cut it, Beverley isn't that type of player.

It's worse on us fans that know what will happen. I wish I can have hope in Mchale but if you have eyes to see you just know... I really believed we were going to fire him.

    Personally:
-Hire a top assistant coach giving the title "Associate Head Coach" (I'm thinking somebody like Ime Udoka)
-Trade Lin+Asik for a starting PF (whos available? Josh Smith? David Lee? Might as well nab some overpaid guy who can grab boards, defend some, knock down open outside shots because the current situation is not working. Might as well flip those expiring contracts now)
-Use the MLE (or most of it) on a starting caliber PG (whos available? DJ Augustin? Darren Collison? Shaun Livingston?)
-Sign bench guys (already have Daniels, Bev and TJones off the bench with the above stuff, need a backup center and a legitimate scoring option off the bench).

    Morey Off-season Priorities-

#1. Plug in new head assistant coach - Scott Skiles, Mario Elie, Lawrence Frank, Hollins should be candidates. Wouldn't be shocked to see an unlikely name pop up here in the next couple weeks. However I absolutely expect to see a power play made with the assistant coaches this Summer that will be in play to dramatically improve their defensive schemes.

#2. Make calls about Love & Rondo.

I think the window for Love & Rondo could be something to get out in front off. Both teams are eliminated and probably bored with nothing to do right now. Start getting on the phone, take Flip & Ainge out golfing or whatever, but you have a unique situation where you can get their attention with the unique timing of the Parsons contract as bait to get them in early.

For Love, you offer the kitchen sink.

For Rondo, much less than the offer for Love, but you still want to use the opportunity to move Lin if you can. If you move Asik as well, make sure you are probably getting a big back as well like Bass. I think you should be able to get Rondo at a reasonable price without giving up a ton of picks.

#3. Starting up working on deals to try an move out Asik & Lin for cap space or assets.

I think the playoffs showcased some good moments for both players, and should make them easier to be moved. We know Lin is going to be a challenge to move, but you need to be ready to move his contract if needed, and Morey needs to get ahead of this much like he did with T-Rob last year in preparation to make a move for Dwight.

#4. Focus on making a play for Melo if it looks like nothing will shake loose on potential Love & Rondo deals.

Going to need to have the threat of creating cap space by having trades lined up for Asik & Lin. If you have this threat there is a chance New York agrees to a S&T which ultimately should be your desired outcome. However this task isn't going to happen overnight. The time to start putting your chess pieces in play is here pretty soon.

#5. Moving up in the draft.

There are teams with a ton of draft picks this year. Could you maybe find a way to unload Asik & combine him with your pick to move up into the lottery? This was the type of move that got the Spurs Leonard a couple years ago, and should be something the Rockets look to do if they can.

There is a ton of talent in this draft but I see a drop off outside the lottery. Don't sleep on the Rockets making power moves in the draft this year. I think Morey would love to get what he considers top 5 talent that drops later in the draft this year.

    #6. MLE Free agents-

    -Spencer Hawes
    -Stuckey
    -Sefolosha
    -2Pat
    -Vasquez
    -Ariza

to name a few options the Rockets might look at with an MLE type of deal. If the Rockets strike out on Love,Rondo, Melo, I'd be shocked if they didn't offer MLE money to a player that will help them out this year that they can just add to the current squad.

-Getting a starting caliber PG, moving Bev back to the bench, and Lin to backup SG would probably make the most sense if they had to keep Lin. There is definitely an opportunity to majorly upgrade that PG position with just the MLE without having to strip assets to get a all-star type PG. With the depth of PG's in this league, it could really help the price go down so the Rockets can get a bargain deal for a major upgrade.

I don't want to. Its just way more realistic than Kevin Love or the other names being thrown around here...

And I would for sure take both of those guys over T-Jones.

Josh "jack jup every open shot I get, even if I can't shoot" and David Lee won't help us going forward, we're aiming for a key piece to lift us to contender status.
