You are so right! After these last six nationally televised games, everyone but everyone saw the obvious flaws that the Harden star (not superstar) had, matador D (if even that)/lackadaisical ISO play. Harden's value has taken a major hit, no wonder OKC traded him. Looks like Sam got one over Daryl to me.
He also had another "chicken with his head cut-off" layup attempt that Howard was luckily there to pick up the mess in transition. Hubie "praised" it... but Lin had no chance of ever making that layup (again).
Duh. Trading someone because you don't want him is different than open to ideas for improvement with your already very good star player.
Get a new coach first. Otherwise, even with the suggested Melo trade, this team is a one-and-out team. Relying on ISOs, even with 2 guys who are great at it, won't win much in POs.
As bad as Harden played, here's the part you guys are not getting.... If Morey calls all the teams in the NBA today and says Harden and Lin were available, Every single team would ask him about the asking price for Harden. His stock took a hit but teams would be lining up to get him in a trade if possible. Most wont be able to because of cost, luxury tax, trade wont work out etc etc. but they will explore the idea of Harden on their team. OTOH, Morey has been trying to trade Lin for a year now without success.
are we going to ignore the fact parsons missed 4 layups? are we going to ignore the fact asik got called for a foul on a screen which was his 6th and caused a turnover with under a min left? are we going to ignore the fact Howard missed 4 free throws down the stretch? are we going to ignore the fact McHale had harden on Lopez for two key possessions down the stretch? are we going to ignore the fact jones didn't box out all series and got outplayed by TRob ? rather than try to magnify the short comings of LIN or get people to agree with why he is not a good for for the team, why don't you bring up all the shortcomings of the team during the last game?
It was all Lin fault.. period climate change, world wars, muslim terror, NSA, Snowden, alien... all Lin fault:grin::grin: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XZxzJGgox_E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I think this is the worst post I've read in 14 years on this board. About the only way you could write a worse one is if you copied Mein Kampf into your post word for word.
So many of the people here are just being defensive in response to this thread. Yeah, maybe it was written a bit inflammatory, but it doesn't seem anybody is addressing what the OP has brought up. 1) Can he be trusted with the ball in his hands in these kind of games? 2) Can he limit his turnovers? 3) Can he be trusted with his shot? And if the answer is no to one or more of these questions, who out there is better?
If wasn't for Asik's 6th foul, terrence jones woundn't have needed to play the last 40 seconds of the game.
