Rivers a weak link? Boston won 66 games and a damn title and came within a quarter of a 2nd championship. Carlisle had a lack of playoff success? His team made the freaking Conference Finals his 2nd year.
Get a new lead assistant. I think Mario Elie should come here and be the lead assistant. I believe Mario Elie will become a great coach I love his character and leadership. And he still lives here and loves it here. Has a lot of experience from playing with the back to back titles with the Rockets, the clutch city days and from the Spurs. I'm sure he got a lot of experience and has a good playbook in his hands.
Why should i even watch next season? It will end up with the rockets winning fools gold in the regular season, and then getting exposed when the postseason comes.
You are clueless.... #1 What did Rivers do his first 8 years? What did he do BEFORE he won a title? He was viewed as a weak link in Boston and was fired in Orlando after 4 mediocre seasons and starting 1-10 his last year. #2 Yes, Carlisle was let go in Detroit because they didn't think he would get them over the hump. The Pistons went on to win a Championship AFTER he left. He then went to Indiana, and after one very good season wore out his welcome. You are not going to win on this point. The facts are what they are. Both Rivers and Carlisle were viewed as failures before winning titles. You asked if coaches can get better after 4-5 years, the answer is yes... or maybe both Rivers and Carlisle found success when they took over veteran teams... but that would mean it is more about the players and the decisions they make on the court and less about the coach... But that doesn't fit your narrative does it?
Morey knows Mchale will let him continue to call the shots. Morey truly thinks Moreyball is successful and wants another season to waste. Damn shame. George Karl? Lionel Hollins? And you bring back the incompetent coach who killed our series? This organization is a joke
I voted YES but only because milk hair unites this board like no other person or issue. EDIT: Also, I found some good footage for McHale to study this off-season, just to bone up on all the possible in-bound situations. http://www.break.com/video/ugc/worst-inbound-pass-ever-421125
Yeah right. Just sign all the great players in the league, bring rondo, lowry, melo, love, n whoever available on the market then we can have an all star team so mchale can say "playy playy playyy" n "lets go goooo gooo" while clapping his hands all the time. Very brilliant idea but very wishful thinking.
I think it's Alexander's decision, D12 should request trade out from Houston, no superstar will come here
