I didn't even truly celebrated when parsons had that put back. All I could think of was .9. Called a dagger 3 and fk im usually right and wanted to be so wrong this time.
there you go- sounds like a forgettable moment that I couldn't even recall. we're talking about a playoff series ending buzzer beater.
I thought it would be 3, but a contested one, you know, since it's their most important defensive assignment of the season.
As soon as Friedman called I just knew it... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>That said, for those who remember Brandon Roy in 2008, this thing aint over.</p>— Jason Friedman (@JasonCFriedman) <a href="https://twitter.com/JasonCFriedman/statuses/462463206082899970">May 3, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
yelled to everyone in my house during the timeout that Lillard was gonna hit a 3 at the buzzer. If every regular spectator of NBA basketball predicted the play, why couldn't McHale make the simplest of adjustments, DON'T LET LILLARD SHOOT THE BALL.
I knew we just needed a well drawn up defensive plan and figured we would somehow leave Lillard open. Didn't know he would be so freaking wide open Parsons is still searching for him. Just wasted a year of Dwight for growing pains. I'm looking at you McHale, Harden, the PF and PG position. Grow some balls or smarts quickly please.
During the timeout I looked at my roommates and said, "lillard is gonna drain a three" Sure enough....sad day but going out after took my mind off it for a while.
I thought of Steve Blake, James Anderson, Steph Curry, Corey Brewer, etc. The Rockets seem to always give up the desperation points off of inbounds plays after a timeout. Every single game it seems like.
And when there was still 0.9 left on the clock I was thinking they better not let them hit a 3 like they have let others do at times this season. 0.9 seems like it's over but 0.9 scares me. And sure enough... swish.
The rules should change as follows: Clock starts when the inbound ball breaks the plane of the sideline and or is out of inbound passer's hands. There MUST be time on the clock when the ball goes completely thru the goal/net. I know, stupid. But it kind of makes sense. How can you score when the game is over?
i really really did, and i was telling my friend of that exact play right when i saw TJ on the in bounder.
I hate how the Roy had to run around lifting his shirt up after he hit that 3, now damien lillard has to have that mean frown on his face after hitting this one. ****ing show offs.
U can't foul unless the ball is inbounded. otherwise they will get one shot and a possession if i remember correctly. Ariza fouling Harden remember?
