    Need a starting pg.

Not worried about PF because TJ will get that much better.

But we are a solid starting pg away from a deep playoff run next season.

    Rondo anyone?

    Hire a New Coach (Karl)
Trade Parsons,Lin,our Pick to Boston for Rondo.
Sign Veterans not wasted Youth.(Marion,Thabo,Mike Miller, etc)
Get a Solid PF with a MidRange,Board, and defend, actually would prefer a strong SF to do that.(Deng)

Team I would like to see.

    Rondo/Sessions
    Harden/Thabo/Daniels/Garcia
    Marion/Mike Miller/Casspi
    Deng/Jones/DMO
    Howard/Asik/Okafor

    Coach:Karl

"Lin completely shut down Parker" Are you serious? In which world?
Last year we were 1-3 vs. the Spurs when Lin was a full time starter. He played the majority of each game, here's how the matched up (just looking at points):

    12/7/12: Lin: 4 pts (2/9 shooting) Parker: 17 pts (7/9 shooting)
    12/10/12: Lin: 38 pts (11/21) Parker: 27 pts (9/18)
    12/28/12: Lin: 21 pts (9/16) Parker: 31 (11/19)
    3/24/13 (the only win): Lin: 6 pts (2/8) Parker: 23 (7/13)

and he did an 'okay job with Lillard'???? On certain plays he was competitive, yes. But for the most part, Lillard ate his lunch (along with anyone else who defended him). Look dude, I have nothing against Lin, hope we keep him (though I dont think we will given his salary increase next season), and think he's a great sixth man. But you cant honestly put him in the category of any elite PG in this league.

One of Anthony, Rondo, Lowry, a new coach and then big upgrades for the bench.

Did u watch this year's games w Spurs? 4-0 and guess who did most of the defense on Parker? Again, I am not saying Lin is as good as the guys u mentioned, he played ok against them; we do no need a star player in each position, just like every other NBA does not have or need a 5 that hang w Howard all day. Games played 5 vs 5, not 5 of 1 vs 1.

Last year, prior to his spending much of the off-season working on defense you mean?

    2013/14 with Lin starting

    12/25/13 Lin : 13 points (5/10) Parker 6 points (3/11)
    01/28/14 Lin : 18 points (5/13) Parker 17 points (6/16)

    2013/14 with Beverley starting
    11/30/13 Beverley : 11 points (4/10) Parker 27 points (13/27)
    04/14/14 Beverley : 12 points (5/11) Parker 10 points (4/9)

Out of the 4 games we played against the Spurs in 2013/14, only ONE of those games was Parker shut down.

Ignoring the entire current season is completely disingenuous if you're going to argue that Lin never shut down Parker.

    Can someone refresh my memory
but . . . . is McHale the reason we traded Lowry?

This series increased Asik's trade value substantially.

We need a point guard and a power forward. It's just that simple. The Lillards, Pauls, Parkers, westbrooks, and currys of the west necessitate that we get serious about the PG position. I'd say PF is a close #2. It's time to move DMo, and jones needs to take a big step forward. Either way, it's a massive hole.

Too bad we can't make a move for Lowry. He's almost exactly what we need.

paul pierce is a free agent next year right?

he would be great if he got 20-25 minutes as a "backup" wing.

I wouldn't mind a defensive wing that could actually play above average defense...especially on the 1 to 3 positions.

Other than that Mbeki would be great, keep Asik and Bev and pick up a forward that can shoot mid range to 3 poiint line...

We should have picked up Milsap..smh....answer to more problems than one.
