I trashed Harden all series long.

But I do feel bad his awesome game 6 performance will now be forgotten.

Of course he didn`t play a good series. But that doesn´t mean that he is not capeable of playing good in the playoffs. He played great for OKC (except for the finals) and he played great at stretches for us.

I think his problem is partly mental and partly conditioning. In the postseason he tries on defense and he doesn`t have enough left in the tank to dominate on offense. He needs to work harder in the offseason.

I absolutely believe Rockets would've had a better chance of winning this series without Harden. If he couldn't score (and score efficiently), he was a total liability. He might be young but he is not well conditioned for 38+ min in the regular season. If he can't work on his D and conditioning this offseason, he is a fool's gold. If he can't play decent defense, Rockets will never win a championship.

Harden only showed up the last 4 min of game 5 and game 6. For that, he avoided an F and gets a D from me.

    Rest of my grade:
Dwight A (a superstar and a top 3 player in this year's playoffs)
    Asik B+
    Lin C
    Bev C
Parsons D+ (for running his mouth and no show the second halves)
    Jones D

Need much more from one of our franchise cornerstones if we want to get close to winning a chip.

Bad shooting games happen. That's part of the sports sometimes. But true superstars transcends the bad shooting games and impact the games regardless. James Harden wasn't that.

That's something that he needs to improve upon. Don't let the big offensive numbers justify your game. When he "gets" that, he'll take that next step. We'll see next year.

Harden anywhere from C- to F because of his expectations of leading the team, but really had poor performances, no matter how many points, until Game 6.

But even in Game 6, kind of did a disappearing act in the 4th quarter because we were going through Howard. It's like if Howard gets going, he gets disinterested and starts to completely defer instead of trying to work together. (perception)

Yet, I still blame our TURRIBLE coaching as part of the reason why he is premadonna and isn't held accountable. He did play great defense in the first half and got some really great steals to get us going, but overall, too little too late.
