ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Blazers 5/2/2014 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 6)

It's ok everybody it really is. You gotta crawl before you walk and walk before you run. I know expectations were huge with the d12 pick up but even dwight said when he first got here that we weren't trying to hit a home run right away we trying to build a dynasty y'all remember that. We are just taking our bumps and bruises right now. We are just learning valuable lessons as a team and we will be better for it in the long run. This is still H-town and we are going to be around for awhile. This is only the beginning fellas.

 

yeah i thought that was funny too. especially since it was coming from howard. mchail better watch his back.

 

Dwight mentioned the 'relax' thing a lot.

Looks like he feels some of the team just let off the gas sometimes.

With Parsons saying "He thought the game was over..." with 0.9 seconds, I can understand where Dwight is coming from.

Lets not even mention Harden didn't show up this series until this game pretty much. Dwight feels they took Portland lightly and maybe this is a tough lesson the team has to learn.

Also throughout the regular season, you have to go hard all the time. ESPECIALLY in the playoffs. The Blazers did, the Rockets must have had the lead for a longer duration this series but they always ease up and let go of possessions when they get a lead.

 

How salty would you guys be if Portland made it to the WCF?

 

I'm pretty sure anyone would act like that after hitting a game winning 3 to go to the next round, especially a young team that has never been there before

 

a couple changes off season and this team will dominate next year.

 

There is nothing you could say about the last shot. He hit it and thats it. He shoots it 10 more times and he would be lucky to hit it one more time. Thats our luck.

You can complain about the poor coaching. Parsons on lillard? Really? Why is jones in the game? Put garcia in to put pressure on the inbounder and make sure he helps out on the three point defense. If jones was smart he could have blocked the shot.

 

If you are going to get beat by someone it may as well be the champs...

 

You won't wanna come near this board if the Mavs pull off the stunner on Sunday in San Antonio.

 

What do you mean Harden can play in the post-season? He only had 1 good game in the post-season. He is the main reason the series is over.

 

Jeremy had guarded Lillard to 0 4th quarter points until the dumb McHale benching him at 0.9 sec. Damn!!

 

Why? They're a good team and it was a great series.

 

Honestly, I like them more than the Mavs and Jazz.

Big needs for this team is power-forward and point guard and a new coach!!!

 

Wrong. He's had multiple good games in the post-season and was a big reason the Thunder beat the Spurs.

Yeah, i guess youre right, but it has been like this all series.....season. Teams beat houston and act like they won the finals. I have never seen streamers in the regular season before this year. People act like we are defending the trophy.

 

This team the way it is built now is not a championship team. Changes have to be made.

 

A player is not going to say anything else in public.

 

Absolutely...need some defenders, some shooters...and maybe another PG
