ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Blazers 5/2/2014 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 6)

I understand they haven't won a playoff series in 14 years, but damn they act like they just won the finals.

Do they realize the spurs are up next?

Well that makes one of us, Dwight. I hate the Spurs more than any other team in the NBA, but I will be rooting for San Antonio to beat Dallas on Sunday and smoke the Blazers in the 2nd round.

 

How much more incentive do you need to work your ass off this off-season in preparation for next season? I'm amp-ed for next season but we need a break after this disappointment. It took two months of this season just to start getting chemistry with this team. We should win more games next season and be better prepared for a playoff run deeper into the playoffs. Plus, we need at least one more formidable player...whether it be Carmelo or whomever.

 

The blazers players/fans reaction reminds me of the times the bobcacts and jazz busted out the streamers after winning a regular season game.

 

i still think the rockets are a better team. looking at the stats here they led the majority of this series by double digits. biggest lead the jailblazers ever had was 8pts. they just had better composure in the 4th quarter.

 

I can't believe it.... the season is over.... we had a pretty good team....

 

Anyone would be amped by that shot.

Any ways, it's not all doom and gloom.

Howard DOES have a post game and Harden CAN play in the post-season.

It really is only up for this team, they just need a decent coach.

I think many of us were expecting a loss. I think the Utah loss where we were up 2 games was the most heart breaking because it felt like we could have easily one that series.

This is going to be such a long off-season...

 

i'm thinking with all those lucky azz shots from portland all series and the calls from the refs it wasn't in the cards. this team was too good to give a 2 game headstart and we had home court.

i'm looking at just this game as how we lost it with a lead at .9 seconds...and the fact that it ended our playoffs. i'm not looking at it from a perspective that we blew a series being 2 games up. that's a different vantage point. this was just an epic loss and i can't recall us losing a single game in such a huge way. it equates to the opposite of how we beat the lakers when ralph sampson made that crazy shot with less than a second left.

 

Did the time keeper start the clock in time or did they give Lillard extra time?

 

We have been nothing but respectful b****es all series and portland fans hate our players and fans. Says a a lot about them. I want to see how they would react to this officiating and these nba half ass apologies....ow wait, we will next round.

 

Another ball dominant superstar will not help until Harden learns to share the ball.

That being said, getting Melo might force Harden to share since he has that seniority.
