I have an idea. How about get your best defensive players in the game at that moment? You don't need anymore points. Why you'd have your worst defensive player on the court at that time... I'll never know.

    I miss Ronnie Brewer.

Nah, it's just round 1. If it was the finals then sure, but round 1 plays like this don't mean much.

Exactly. People need to back off Harden considering the game he had. A good coach puts his best defensive rotation in the game. Lillard would've been double teamed as well. Why is Jones guarding the inbounder when THERE'S NO WAY HE COULD GET THE BALL BACK AND SHOOT WITHIN 0.9 SECONDS? Jones should've been the 2nd guy guarding Lillard

Not that they will, but if Portland somehow keeps advancing, we'll be tortured with this video all playoffs. We might as well just keep the TV off for the next month or so (except for the NFL Draft - I'd like to think it won't be shown there)

Parsons was one step slow. Nothing more. Lillard beat him.

OF COURSE THIS IS HOW IT ENDS. That play encapsulated 90% of what is/was wrong with this team. Poor coaching, poor execution, poor defensive effort. Not like we've been harping on those little niggles all year long. A very deserving way to end the year. Such a shame too. Howard deserves better. He really showed a lot this series.

parsons should've yelled switch and harden should have run after lillard. Inexcusable defense

omg. seriously. i jsut watched it twenty times.

    1. Parsons is on Lillard. No

    2. Parsons is on the outside of lillard. WTF?

    3. Lillard sprints off and Parsons obviously hesitates... WHY? WTF?

    4. Lillard runs over to his favorite spot. catches an easy toss and shoots an open three. Parsons floats by a bit later with his arm in the air.

Literally... everything was wrong. McHale has to go.

wow, aboslutely you are right. harden stood there like a statue and watched lillard and the entire paly develop. his body language and stance was NOT a defensive one. but this blame goes to mchale - parsons should not be guarding lillard.

agree, and disagree. he got it off with .3 seconds left. it took longer than .3 seconds from when the ball touched him to when the clock started.

    home-cooking from the clock operator.

nah, harden couldnt run off matthews there. lot's of harden blame to go around this series, but this play wasn't one of them.

    Every. Single. Thing.

    They did nothing right.

I don't understand why they aren't playing all guards any ways. Only one big for ball denial, everyone else deny the three and switch on everything. You literally have to guard for 0.6 seconds.

    Agreed.
Harden should've been replaced by Lin, who shutdowned Lillard pretty much in the 4th quarter.

i mean... seriously... we all knew they were going to try to get the ball to lillard right? I mean... we all knew right? Ugh. Losing like that is the worst. It was soooooooo.... whats the word? Like you know you have a flaw but you convince yourself no one notices or cares and then in the middle of a party someone points it out and everyone starts to make fun of you...

    WTF
