    Just to give my own opinion his heart, skill, and love of the Rockets should earn him a jersey retirement to hang with the all-time greats in the rafters.

    Yao Ming will always be fondly remembered by the fandom...

    He proved his talent for several years.... particularly that 25ppg 10rpg season.... and proved his heart in the playoffs (LA series when he came back to play with his injured foot)..

    The man's passion for the game and his team was never and never will be questioned...

    He is, unequivocally, indisputably, a Rockets' Hero....

    Not only a Rockets hero, but to a lot of ppl internationally. There have been only a handful of foreign-born number 1 NBA draft pick, and we were fortunate to have two of them.

    If it wasn't Haye's it would've been something else. I think Yao got injured mostly for over compensating for bad/corrupt officiating.

    Of course, they were a better defesnive team, but don't forget to adjust for pace
