The type of jobs in liberal states such as Calli and Massachusetts are of better quality in my opinion.

texxx has an easy explanation for why those states are struggling, but again, it's not politically correct for him to discuss.

It depends. If you live in Texas and have a good education, you can probably afford to send your child to elite private schools.

I have opened branches of my firm in Ohio and Illinois. You do not realize how healthy the economy in Texas is until you have substantial dealings outside the state. Honestly, the economy in Ireland where a satellite office is, is better than what I have encountered in Chicago.

It's so bad everyone who is hear wants to stay, and everyone who can move here does.

Ehh some are, as the areas have been long entrenched with an educated work force. However, many of those jobs are leaving. Texas has it's fair share of high quality jobs with excellent compensation. For example the legal market is better in Texas, and there are few things better than working for an energy company.

I understand what you are saying, and there is some truth to it. Texas is terrible on issues such as workers compensation, wrongful termination and the amount of people insured. However, those same issues exist everywhere to some degree.

I don't think that Texas is doing so well because of politicians, I think it is just extremely rich in land and resources and is in an excellent location. In 25 years or more, Texas will have the same issues California has. However, for the time, it is just about as good a place as you will find in the USA for the value.

Every place I have lived, there are citizens that want out. I am right now in Chicago, and a recent poll showed that 1:4 citizens in Illinois said it was the worst state in the USA to live in. Is it? Of course not, but it shows perspective.

Outside the USA is a different animal, there are places in Ireland and even Italy that are an exceptional value and offer a standard of living that is excellent... but you better have some money when you move in.

Not trying to side with bigtex but higher per capita income doesn't mean **** when the cost of living is as much higher as it is in California.

That is mainly due to all the immigrants who come to Tx. They don't care that they don't have health insurance, in fact, they probably don't want it.

CA also has many immigrants in that state. They have more than 10 million immigrants. One if four of foreign-born population lives in CA. 27% of CA's population are immigrants.

So using immigration to Texas as a reason why the rate of uninsured is so high doesn't really cut it.

Why would they move here just to ruin our state? If they are on welfare already, no need to move

    Sorry, late to this thread.

Did Google relocate their HQ to Texas? Apple? Cisco? Oracle? Facebook? Genentech?

funny how when if even someone agrees they have to qualify it by saying 'not trying to side with bigtex'

Texx is like the sterling/hitler of this bbs. Even if they kind of agree with anything he says it's basically taking the position of agreeing with lucifer.

Good job texx. Even when people agree with you they don't want to be associated with you.

    Classic.

    nice.
I think mods should make it so that whenever texx posts it automatically plays the benny hill theme.
