Been saying this since his signing. He's the rockets best player. He's carried a team to the finals and the conf finals. The team is better when he touches th ball a lot. Even if he's an ok post player,he attracts attention and draws fouls.

Great post OP. D12 is the only player who has been consistent. Worth every dime.

He's stepped it up, and he seems the most mature in his interviews. Wow, Dwight is the most mature Rocket! That's saying something. But, as I've said before, he's already played more games than Yao ever did, which kind of surprised me.

The more superstars you have in this league, the more will fail to win a title year in year out

I am probably one of the few who isn't surprised at his superb performance in the playoffs. Throughout the regular season, Dwight was the ONLY one who got a pass from me whenever he had his lackluster games. He can only be judged in the playoffs.

Why do you think his nickname is Superman? He can literary go into a phone booth and change himself from Clark Kent to Orlando Dwight in any given game. The evident was there for us to see.

The_Yoyo said he hadn't seen this Dwight, you probably missed the very first game of the season.

Remember Dwight's debut as a Rocket? He gifted Rockets fans with a promise of 30 rebounds, but ended up with 26 and a new career high. That was utterly impressive if you consider Asik was playing along with him. This playoffs Dwight was there since Game 1 of the regular season.

Dwight is fully capable of becoming Orlando Dwight on any given game. Dwight is a very special player who should ONLY be judged in the playoffs. Any Rockets fans who want to see a fully healthy Dwight for the playoffs should not question about his efforts for the regular season games. Remember this: it's not easy as a center to bang with others who are bigger than you day in and day out and still staying healthy after 10 years.

Dwight has been the most consistent guy thru this series and i hope he keeps it up! We can win a lot of games with this Dwight Howard!

Anybody else feel like maybe he was saving some of his moves that he learned from Dream for the playoffs? Because his post play this series has been some of the best i have ever seen from him. Sure Lopez has no chance against him, but he is making good decisions for the most part and getting quality baskets that i wasn't seeing him getting in the regular season.

He even has pulled off a couple mini dreamshakes!

No matter what happens, Dwight has completely vindicated himself in my eyes. 2013 was not his fault. 2011-2012 he made mistakes in getting SVG fired, but this is his atonement now.

The whole season we had kind of accepted the fact that Dwight's best days were behind him. Part of it was that we had already been through an era where our superstars' primes were around 24-26yo. Now we have to reconsider. The majority of superstar centers in NBA history peak at 30-32yo.

Can Dwight hold this level of play over beyond this series? I believe he can.

I have SO much respect for Dwight. People in the league may call him immature and not serious enough...but looking in the past few games...I see Dwight stepping up not only with his play but his passion and leadership on this team.

Really couldn't comprehend how people thought he went from being so consistently solid to suddenly falling off as the best C in the league - based on an injured season in LA.

I knew he would be great as soon as he was signed, and I said before the Playoffs started we were going to see a dominant Dwight.

He has lifted his game and has been tremendous. I don't look into the whole 'there's a rift in the locker room etc etc' but if there was I could understand why Howard's upset at Harden - considering he prides himself on defense nad James chooses to play none.

I PRAY we have a new coach next season so the last couple of years of a dominant Dwight aren't put to waste.

Harden isn't playing like a superstar. In fact, he's playing scrubby. Everyone except D12 is playing like crap. Very disappointing.

As much as I like PB and Lin, neither of them are championship material. Not very good shooters.

CP25 has been getting outplayed by Batum and Matthews has been playing as good as Harden.

We really need someone like a Rondo to distribute and hold all the great PGs in western conference.

    Why hasn't DMo played?

Imagine this team with George Karl instead of McHale. If be a lot more confident he'd get the most out of this team.

Definitely, Howard is definitely the best player and the only superstar in this team.

He has definitely stepped up and backed up his 'star' status. I did not think he would be the leader he has shown to be during these playoffs. Guess it's not Harden's team anymore, it's Dwights!

Dwight Howard is our Clutch player this series, hands down. Rockets needs the rest of the team to step it up.

    Win tonight Rockets!

Didn't Howard say at some point he didn't want to be know as a pnr only player. He knows that he can be deadly in the pnr but wants to establish himself as a legitimate post player. If he continues this post play with teams seeing the threat we could have a much better offense with inside out or pnr

I said it all along, he took a crap Orlando team to the final (yes the east was terrible then).

I agree with clutch, he needs to improve on the PNR. On the dumb fouls, I think he needs to learn when to block, he doesn't have that insane Hakeem instinct and even Hakeem had issues with fouls early on. He misses on important clutch rebounds because of this. He over commits to the block when there is not chance and the other team gets in position for a rebound, I seem to see this very often.

Overall, could not be happier with him. The spin moves are looking very good and they have their own Dwight flare to them (a bit robotic) that usually end in an insane dunk. He really is a great athlete and you have to be impressed with how he handle the injury. I really do think most athletes would never be the same after an injury like that and I still think he was recovering from it this season. Oh and by the way, he just entering his prime.

Just realized, he is shooting 67% from the FT line as well, that's big!!

Ugh...it most definitely is by design. Probably to draw away a 2nd defender. Problem is, if someone doubles, he doesn't have the easiest pass to get out of it. I think they should just leave Troy Daniels on whatever side that Dwight is posting up from. Go ahead Troy Daniels's defender, go double Dwight ;)
