It happened because he was never the sure fire #1 that the media talked him up to be. At one point the media talked up Geno Smith to be the sure fire #1. When there isn't a legit top QB prospect the media usually creates one, that seems to be the case this year. From all indications, NFL guys never saw him that way.
Mayock: Bridgewater's ability to be face of franchise in question http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...franchise-in-question?campaign=Twitter_nfl_cb This kid is going to burn teams for a decade
Travis Haney @TravHaneyESPN I wish more people understood the smoke screens. RT @tyduffy Methinks someone really wants to land Teddy at the end of the first round.
Forget smokescreens, the smoke is so think and poisonous it feels that I am on Jupiter Draft please please arrive
So their findings are that AJ McCarron is better than Bridgewater but neither QB is as good as Christian Ponder. Good to know.
If there was another couple of weeks till the draft and Teddy had another chance to publicly show off his skills, we might be able to get him in the 3rd.
We most likely will have to trade back into the 20s to draft Teddy.. which I am OK with! lol but this is the texans.. we have a inept GM that hits maybe 1 draft pick per draft.. god just thinkin bout all the busts rick smith has drafted gets me scared about this draft where he has the first pick in every round!!
And then you remember he did draft JJ WATT. I am a firm believer that Smith is a broken clock, so lets just hope he hits the homerun for the second time.
Just saw him on espin and he could barely utter out a sentence. He seemed scared and his words he spoke were dumb/drivel he was told to say by his agent.
Saying things like that about Teddy Bridgewater is pretty much the quickest way to be branded a racist or a troll. You better do 10 "Hail Bridgewater's" immediately or they'll release the hounds.
