The mutineers story line definitely through me a curve ball. I'm a little shocked that the writters would add stuff to the story line with so much other stuff they still have to cover in only 6 episodes. I'm still waiting for Bran to be taken north by Cold Hands but perhaps adding his capture gives them a way to unite Bran and Cold Hands since it hasn't happened yet.

I'm also guessing that dealing with the mutineers could be integral to Jon taking on his new role with the nights watch as opposed to Sam just trumping up support for Jon. Regardless the last 6 episodes should be pretty packed with action.

I don't know how I feel about this mutineers side quest, but it certainly puts a question mark on where the season will end the night's watch story. He won't be able to make the trip, deal with the mutineers, return, fight off the wildlings, and run for lord commander all in 6 episodes.

It would make sense for this guy to be Coldhands too, but it seems there's a conflict with the tv and book versions. In the book, since Coldhands helped Bran through the wall, we think he's a good guy. In the series, he's now an agent for the white walkers. He might still be a good guy, but like inserting a Jaime rape scene, he's lost sympathy points.

I don't think the rape scene came out of nowhere. They have sex next to Joffrey's corpse in the books. But they changed Cersei's reaction to Jaime's return and thus had to change the manner in which they had sex if they wanted to include that scene.

In the books, the first time she sees him when he returns is in the Sept after Joffrey's death. She's not disgusted by his hand though he's shoving it in her face to make a point that he's changed. She still loves him and is happy he's back. They have sex and though she's reluctant, she doesn't fight it. Their relationship doesn't sour until afterwards and that's the last time they have sex.

On the show, they made her bitter and angry that Jaime was gone. Thus their relationship starts to fall apart before Joffrey dies. They still wanted to keep in the last time they have sex, but Cersei's attitude has changed which kind of necessitates Jaime being more forceful if they still want that act to occur. With the changes they'd already made, they couldn't really have them having consensual, lustful sex over Joff's dead body as in the books. And I think it works as a sign that their relationship is on its last thread.

I'm almost positive the White walker riding the horse isn't supposed to be coldhands, as a few people have thought him to be. Coldhands is basically the grim reaper on an elk, I don't see why they would change his appearance that dramatically, I could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure coldhands shows up in the last scene of the next episode and wipes out the mutineers, I just can't see Jon Snow and Bran meeting, starks aren't allowed to have truly happy moments, it's a rule.

As for the rape scene, the show handlers clearly just messed it up, it was supposed to be a "no,no, yes" type thing, not flat out rape which is what it looked like. Everybody involved has stated it wasn't supposed to be a rape scene.

Coldhands eyes are supposed to be black and I am missing the elk. So I also do not think the white walker was coldhands.

Theories on coldhand? Benjen Stark or the Nights king (my choice)?

I always thought it was Benjen. That may be too obvious for Martin though.

Go back and rewatch it and it wasn't really a rape scene like people are saying. It was a no,no, yes type scene. She is gripping him at various points and moans a little. She is resisting him in a way of course, but she is almost moaning as she's saying "someone will see" (think that was the line)

HBO revealed (apparently accidentally) that the White Walker at the end of episode with the crown was The Night's King.

I can post in this thread now as the series has been sufficiently spoiled for me!

It will be one of the last scenes in the season finale. The last 3 episodes are gonna be absolutely loaded, people are gonna be in a lather waiting for next season.

    Viper vs Mountain
    Battle at the Wall
Hound Dying, and Arya heading for Braavos
    Tyrion killing Tywin and Shae
    Margery v Cersei round 1
    Littlefinger killing Lysa
Jorah Mormont being exhiled by Dany
    Jon Snow elected commander
Possibly Lady Stoneheart, not sure if they will use this, if they do it's almost guaranteed to be the last scene of the season.

    I'm excited just writing it.

Previews made it look like Arya's going to off the Hound in this next episode.

That was also what I used to think, but they do make a point of mentioning he has been dead for a long time.

I do not think coldhands is really a god guy or a bad guy, int he books there are very few trully good guys or trully bad guys. Yoiu expect the god of the white walkers will battle the red god (or at least their followers), Both do not seem friendly or good guys.).

That would be a pretty big spoiler for book readers:eek: HBo made a big mistake if that is the case. That would also mean that coldhands will probably not be the nights king.

Here is a list of the remaining episodes:

    5 "First of His Name"[29] Michelle MacLaren David Benioff & D. B. Weiss May 4, 2014 (2014-05-04)

6 "The Laws of Gods and Men"[29] Alik Sakharov Bryan Cogman May 11, 2014 (2014-05-11)

    7 "Mockingbird"[29] Alik Sakharov David Benioff & D. B. Weiss May 18, 2014 (2014-05-18)

    8 "The Mountain and the Viper"[29] Alex Graves David Benioff & D. B. Weiss June 1, 2014 (2014-06-01)

    9 "The Watchers on the Wall"[29] Neil Marshall David Benioff & D. B. Weiss June 8, 2014 (2014-06-08)

    10 "The Children"[29] Alex Graves David Benioff & D. B. Weiss June 15, 2014 (2014-06-15)

There is so much still to cover that it should be action packed from here on out. Don't forget that the Bran story arc with the mutineers still has to be addressed and that is in addition to your list. It's going to be a great ending IMO.

The directors intended it to become consensual, but they did a terrible job and the vast majority of viewers saw it as rape. She is saying "it's not right" and actively avoiding his kisses up to the point that the camera cuts away. Conversely in the books she doesn't want to initially because she doesn't want anyone to catch them. This is the passage from the books after she changes her mind:

They also left out the argueably even more important conversation after they were done:

I'd be happy if Tywin lived on the TV show. After Tywin gets killed, all sense of threat towards the remaining characters in the books dropped bigtime. Up till Storm of Swords, everyone rightfully feared Tywin.

The show will certainly lose one of its best actors/characters when Tywin goes.

I think one of the producers said this season's last episode, not the penultimate, will have the real kick-in-the-balls. Which would be something to see, given the Battle at the Wall in Episode 9.

So I think we'll see the Tywin/Shae bye-bye in the last episode, along with the appearance of Lady Stoneheart.

True, but the show is doing a better job with the white walkers as a threat.

Seems like Cersie isn't doing the naked walk of shame this season.
