We won't survive two more games with Harden playing like this, but if he can step it up, we have a shot.

Having said that...we're 5 games in now. This can't keep happening.

 

I'm not sure if he's gassed because of defending Matthews.

He seems disinterested.

 

The announcers were critical of him for not scoring in the 3rd but I thought he wasn't forcing bad shots and trying his patented "run into a guy, get free throws" move. His scoring in the 4th were of actual good shots, which is a good sign moving forward.

 

Just wish he would play his average game

 

its not easy...Mathews has made it a living hell for James...Harden has to fight through it....and really embrace the challenge. He is showing me that he is mentally given up trying to attack the rim with both their guards...

Just because Reffs don't give you calls doesn't mean you should give up the series, you have must no heart or mental toughness

 

We would have won this series in four games if Harden had played like he did in the regular season. Very very frustrating.

Yeah it's always been the case where we only go as far as Harden and Howard perform.

We're not going to win if those two can't dominate their individual matchups.

 

It does lie with Harden. I agree, even though throughout the game Dwight has been the better player. You can't finish a game relying on Dwight's baskets around the rim because the fouls won't be called.

 

That expiring clock airball shot was pathetic. I hope he doesn't try that when the game is actually on the time.

 

He needs to stay humble. Playing within the flow of the offense and then kicking it into second gear when the Rockets are in a pinch is what he should be doing, not forcing the issue when it isn't called for.

 

That is what is scaring the **** out of me.
