ClutchFans Game Thread: Blazers @ Rockets 4/30/2014 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 5)

I just don't think they will call fouls on LMA...they will turn them on Dwight.The officials are NOT, I repeat NOT going to allow the Rockets to get in front in a big way.

 

Pretty much what it comes down to...but we've been letting him do this all season and for the most part it has worked pretty well.

Team has bad habits now, they aren't going to break them. They either will just shoot the ball better and win or not shoot it better and lose. That's Morey/Mchale ball.

 

Harden needs to attack quickly. The way the Rockets came back late in the 4th the other night was when the Rockets got the rebound and just took off down the floor. The Blazers were sending them to the line everytime cuz they couldn't set up their defense. When Harden just dribbles on the perimeter for 15-20 seconds, he's playing right into their trap.

 

Everybody needs to lay off Harden's D. Batum was not his man, it was LIN's man. Harden was scratching his head thinking "Where the F*** was Lin". + we were up 9pts so not important.

 

i promise harden will show up will take over about midway through 3rd quarter and won't look back and will finish the rest of the series strong. his slumps only last so long.

 

lol cmon. Harden is untouchable on this team, even McHale can't call him out.

 

When Lin was running the show in the 1st half it was almost surreal to watch. Dude looked like an all-star PG at times.

 

Every game this series Parsons score 90% of his points in the 1st half

 

Coach is indeed stupid, playing small ball when they had two bigs on the floor. What happened, we got 2 quick fouls with FTs and Lopez scoring.

We are up 8 but it feels like we're down 10, that's how predictable we are of choking this lead away.

Can somebody tell me how in the world Matthews has 3 blocks???

Plus, a couple of falls and back pain will make you think twice. He's not getting younger.

Textbook is always see man and ball. Probably don't want to let someone drive right behind you for a layup while you guard "your man."

 

Funny to realize that they actually had a bigger lead at halftime in game 4.

 

I've noticed throughout this series that Parsons will have a good first half and then disappear offensively the 2nd half. It's like clockwork.

 

the defense was completely broken on that play. Someone should have stopped the ball in transition i'm guessing but don't remember that play too well outside of that.

Either way I see that as a team defense breakdown and not a individual one like the Matthews three earlier where Harden just didn't want to run out to him. THAT is the play people should be replaying, not that.

 

Please Harden, you are the man of this team. Show some emotion and put some effort, at the end of the day, people will blame you if we lose this series. Play some D and stop shooting 3s........... frustrating.

 

Don't believe it...sure hope you are right though.
