I'm fully expecting the Rockets to choke away yet another let lead.

I am with you about Home Court not mattering for this series. This is going to be a hard game.

A convincing win would be really nice.

C'mon Rockets just one game in which we smash the Portland Trailblazers (whose number we had this season). These are the Trailblazers who saw the Rockets as their worst matchup in the post season. Show 'em they were right.

 

Harden plays his best when his back is against the wall. Then again he could shoot 30% again tonight

 

It would be nice, but it's borderline impossible with this team, especially in this series. Either the Rockets get a lead late, and Portland comes back because our 4th quarter offense is awful, or we trade punch for punch down the stretch. The Rockets have proven all year they can't put teams away when they need, and it's really what is going to cost them the series. Quite fitting.

 

The Rockets are due for a win but I wouldn't put money on them, especially at -5.

We've had some very nice come from behind wins this year.

Game 5: Portland leads by 2, Howard tips in a brick by Harden, who will have a terrible game, to send game into OT. Howard drops 40 on the Blazers and Bev rains 3s in his 'flu/knee' game.

Rockets (2-3): 113
Blazers (3-2) : 107

Game 6: Game is tightly contested all the way thru, with Howard leading the way and Harden finally snaps out of his funk. Midway thru the 4th, Lin redeems himself and catches fire, clinching the win.

Blazers (3-3): 113

Game 7: Rockets collapse once again, giving away a fourth quarter lead. With seconds left on the clock, Lin dishes it to Daniels who hits a 3 right in front of the Blazers bench and in Mo Williams' grill. Mouths "Now you know who I am" whilst doing the '3 bullets' hand-signal.

Rockets win, 105 to 104.

And that is how I would script a Rockets comeback. But srsly, I've mentally prepared myself for a defeat.

However, I seem to recall there were more of the other kind happening,
esp earlier in the season.

 

You missed one key moment, after Daniels hits the 3 we get called for a technical for celebrating a win. Game goes to OT and we lose. Our bad luck will forever haunt us

 

these posts are hysterical..... sacrifice her....lmao. man it's your girlfriend watch the game with her....win or lose and you want to get some after the game...beard, parsons, bev, howard or mchale won't be there to help you.

 

I was writing a fantasy, not what's going to happen.

 

It hasn't even been our 4th quarter overall; it has been our last 6 minutes of the game that has been so awful.

10 point lead at timeout taken at 5:16 in Game 1 (Loss)
9 point lead at timeout taken at 2:47 in Game 2 (Loss)
9 point lead at timeout taken at 5:31 in Game 3 (Win)
8 point lead at timeout taken at 8:30; and 3 point lead at timeout taken at 6:03 in Game 4 (Loss)

This makes me thinks McHale has to be much more serious about resting Harden and Howard for the last push. Because the Blazers on going on crazy runs in those last few minutes. They can't keep up with us otherwise.

 

Remember that Harden was more rested in Game 4 (and also seemed to perform better at the end of the game) because McHale had to sit him for fouls early on.
