Desert_Rocket I think you're trying to cook up another personal vendetta like you did with Fatty.

If The Cat agrees to donate to Haiti Relief / Tip Jar then I think thats a fair compromise.

There's nothing in my inbox from you. How in the world can you say I "didn't accept" something I didn't even know about?

is that who that is? bummer...i thought we had made nice at some point. i've never heard of this dude and he's been randomly slamming me too. of course, i don't hang out here nearly as much as i used to, so i'm kinda out of the loop. i feel like an old man in a cosby sweater. what with the new users and the tweets and the puddin' pops.

(what is wrong with me today?)

    IMO

    Vinsanity = Sore Winner

    The Cat = Sore Loser

Both of you would be better off just letting it go. Just because The Cat has to always be right, doesn't mean you need to rub it in when he is wrong.

    Vinsanity -

Just looked through all your posts since Haiti and didn't see any offer related to a donation from me. I did skim through so perhaps I missed it, but if I did, link me. I'm certainly willing to do that instead of the tipjar since the event obviously has personal significance to you.

I'm not trying to weasel out on anything. I was dead wrong on this. That said, I think a lot of people would have problems giving money to someone who spends a great deal of time and effort attacking them personally (particularly when it's someone they don't even know). So, if that's a compromise that works for you, it works for me, too - but I haven't seen it and can't find it anywhere.

I edited it after I believed you chose to not accept it. Do what you want at this point with the money. I don't care. Send it to Googruxrux. He's always complaing about how broke he is. Seems like he needs it more than me. He's probably about out of pot by the way he's been acting today. Or give it to moes since he's your new buddy now (and facebook friend), treat him to a vegan dinner or something with no fructose corn syrup. On me.

Even though the proposal was nowhere to be found, I donated $50 to the Haiti relief fund per Vinsanity's offer, and tossed in $25 to Clutch's tip jar for good measure as well. Since it's clear you don't respect my opinions or me as a person, I'm going to place you on ignore to save all of us time in the future - and you should probably do the same for me. Again, you were right and I was wrong - Favre had a hell of a year (by far his best ever, actually). Congrats.

I thought it was more a bet about Favre. Lots of people thought he was over the hill or overrated. We knew what Schaub could do when healthy. The fact that Schaub was so good and Favre still beat him make the ant-Favrers look even worse.

For me it was more about Schaub, which makes it all the more surprising. I figured Favre would have a better year in Minnesota than he did in New York, given the improved talent around him and the familiar scheme and defenses. But I really thought Schaub was poised to break out - from the very good QB rating of around 90 or slightly above that he had been at to an elite-level QB that starts all 16 games with a rating around 100. That's why I made the bet, and Schaub delivered. And I'm pretty sure if you had told Vinsanity or any of the other Favre-backers before the season that Schaub would have those numbers, they may have eased their own conviction.

Instead, Favre blew me and a ton of folks out of the water with by far his best statistical season ever, at age 40. Crazy stuff, but it happened and he deserves all the credit in the world for it. I was dead wrong.

Whats so weird is, Favre was supposed to succeed because Minnesota had AP, and a very good D. He was just going to manage games. Then he ended up throwing the ball more then he did last year, and Minnesota ended up a better passing team then running team.

There's no way anyone predicted a Favre QB rating of 107, though he did have a pretty good 95 rating in his last year in GB.

Maybe if Slaton had been benched earlier Schaub could have been even better.

    Wait what....

Our other running backs were no better than Slaton.Still to early to look at Foster.
Not to mention Slaton brought alot more help to the passing game

Don't know about that, but you could easily say that Schaub's numbers could have been better if Owen Daniels hadn't been injured.

The one game Moats started he rushed for 142 yards. Yes, he still wasn't that good but he could get more than 3 yards per carry. Foster also got over 100 yards in a start, something Slaton never did all year. Yes, it's too early to look at Foster, partly because we should have begun playing him earlier in the season.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I found this while doing a Google search on Schaub stats.

Can you believe there was a time when this bbs thought Matt Schaub was a better quarterback than Brett Favre? :wow:

Or... Was Schaub really that good and Kubiack ruined him?

In 2010, Schaub was definitely better than Favre.

Favre was tweeting his ding dong while Schaub was posting a rating over 90.

    Glad that era has passed.
