McHale is begging to be fired with how much trust he has in Lin by playing him so much in the 4th quarter.
Man get off Lin nuts. His contribution when he on the floor has been positive. But ignorant fans will only see the mistakes he made. Now he should not play? Really He got freaking box in on the last play, WTF why did Mchale not call Timeout. What was Mchale doing having a wank. Oh let not forget the terrible Harden attempt at stopping the 3 points at the end of regular. Plus let just bench Lin all of OT Mike Conley vs Jeremy Lin Full year 2nd season stats. Let me try to explain this for you and people who keep thinking like you. IN SPITE of how bad the TEAM was doing, we were still able to win this game, that was until Lin's inexplicable decision to try and dribble out with the ball when every player stood ahead of him. When your own teammates have no idea what the hell you are trying to do, it's a bad sign of your decision making. To put it further into perspective, Lin has made incredibly bad decisions in each of the last 3 games: Game 2: Costly foul on Lillard Game 3: 1v4 on a fast break instead of dribbling out the clock Game 4: Failed to call a timeout and then got stripped Lin needs to ride the bench for the remainder of the series or at the very least, not play at anymore crucial moments in the game. One simply cannot trust his ability to make the correct decision in very basic situations when under pressure.
So if JLin doesn't play a single minute will Game 5 still be on him? Without a doubt, every team needs someone like that otherwise there's no outlet for all our innate negativity. Seriously people, in regulation we had beautiful turnovers b2b (beard 2 beard), oh and Superman to the fans and more. If those never counted for the loss in G4 either we're wearing blinders or we are wearing blinders. I painfully re-watched the game twice to pull out the errors. Those are as big as Lin's boneheaded play. But yes, do go ahead and let him ride the pine. After all if he's stuck with us for another season, it would make it easier for him to do his darnest best to lose games for us as that's all he's good at. I'll also throw in the necessary disclaimer that i'm not a LOF, but i'm sure there's some that would'nt see the underlined and bolded text that says "not". One game at a time now. G5!
IN SPITE of how bad lin's play was, the rockets were still able to win this game, until they inexplicably lost with 5 minutes of overtime. To put it further in perspective, the team collectively has made incredibly bad decisions in each of the last 3 games: mathews wide open layout on the baseline when not one person was back on defense. harden's turnover at the end of game 3. beverely turnover at the of end of game 4. the back to back turnovers from harden and parson at end of game 4. The team needs to ride the bench for the remainder of the series or at the very least, have a bunch of handicapped kangaroos play at the crucial moments in the game. One simply cannot trust the team's ability to make the correct decision in very basic situations when under pressure.
damned if he does damned if he don't. remember earlier in the season when everyone (LOFs) wanted him fired because Coach hated lin and never let him play?
The funny thing is Lin didn't have the most turnovers in this series or game 4. It's just the inopportune moment when he couldn't remember instructions in the time out.
Actually, his problem is to trust Lin in closing minutes while destroying his overall confidence with lack of trust throughout. He was supposed to be the 2nd best ball handler after Harden, but was degraded to the 4th in rank to handle the ball. He has no cohesion with the starters, but yet is supposed to do some wonder when Harden expectedly lost effectivity in closing minutes of a game. Oxymoron!
cry all you want, your opinions and voice won't affect the game. Lin will play. Lin will contribute. So instead of churning your negativity into something useless, just do yourself a favor and be happy. Harden will grow into a superstar. Lin will grow. TJones will grow. Dwight has a few more years of dominance. Just be happy with what we have and will have. I don't support players. I support the Houston Rockets. Lets go game 7! we Got this
We don't have a better back-up PG, and so Lin will definitely play. Don't watch until the series is over.
I was saw this during the game but didn't understand that it was a no call. I am sure the blazer game plan was to foul not to go for the strip. Mo William pulled a fast one on us, I think Lin Anticipated and took off trying to get away. Which was a bad move when he got stripped.
it was a spectacular play by Williams. No one is blaming Lin for the turnover, they are blaming him for not calling a timeout. he as the pg is suppose to know that. He screwed up big time and there is no defense of that. and it's not the first time he has turned the ball over In a critical situation in a bone headed way. We can't afford these types of mistakes from our pg.
Lin will still play but that is because of a lack of better options. However, he needs to be yanked out of the game come the final 2 minutes as his low IQ combined with his ability to freeze under pressure and make boneheaded decisions is not helping the Rockets.
