So what about a white person? Do you care what they have to say about it?

I'm Irish-American, so I keep it real. You probably won't like my opinion, though.

Think of it as a lifetime achievement award. Icing on the cake

Still no idea how he was legally implicated as there is no way he consented to this being taped.

Owning a NBA team is no right. It's not that hard to understand.

Plus, if he remained the owner, I mean, gosh, the guy could face possibly endless legal battles- just think, any black person who applied for a job with the Clippers and didn't get hired? They could sue him for discrimination. I think the EEOC laws allow for that, right? Not sure, though.

Again...he absolutely knew he was being taped, according to people who have heard all 45 minutes of it.

And again..."legally implicated" is for courts, judges and juries...not for private entities.

If he has a defense to all this...if he has a denial for it....sometime before 1 pm CST time today would have been a good time to assert those.

A good start but not severe enough. Donald Sterling should be forced to sell the team. Since they can't legally force him to sell, the NBA can make all the Clippers players free agents next season. Then refuse to allow the Clippers team to participate in any NBA games starting next season as long as the Sterling family owns the team.

You don't think world leaders, politicians, etc. make racist or bigoted comments all the time in their personal lives?

A court will not be able to stop it if he breaks the NBA By-laws. NBA owners give out franchise licenses, and they can take them back via forcing a sell.

It was his idea to have the conversations taped. Strangely enough, how did this guy win a NAACP lifetime achievement award? WTF? That LA branch's credibility is certainly in the dumpster right now.

    Do they own NBA teams?

I know that when they make bigoted comments and we find out about it, it costs them dearly.

it's not about what they said, it's baout what you can prove they said.

why is this concept so hard for some people to understand?

If a president said similar things and it became public knowledge it would be a lot worse.

Or parents that neglect their children. Yeah, let's equate racism with that. How's your glass house holding up?

I would actually prefer Sterling fights this. I want to see their fans and players force him out more than anything else.
