Well, Mo Williams is a better player than Lin. He averaged 17pts after 4 years in the NBA. Of course now, he is older and will retire soon. He is still better in critical situations.
The comparison (when it comes to frustration) is as apt as your Starks vs Lin one. That was a ridiculous comparison you made. Anyone team would take Starks over Lin, anytime, every time. And I say this as someone who borderline hated Starks. I cant beleive you, as a Knicks fan, made that comparison.
I agree with your premise but our odds of winning skyrocketed once Lin got the ball and pummelled once Mo stole it. As a Rocket fan since San Diego I do not ever remember being so elated and then devastated in such a short moment.
McHale sucks. Harden is a legit #2 guy on a contending team, perhaps with some maturity he will someday be a #1. We "still got" the whole team bro idk what you're talking about.
Yeah, I know, but people don't think straight at the heat of the moment. I wanted to smash my laptop last night. But thinking about it now a day later, I don't think people should still be going apeshet over Lin and should focus on a lot of other things that went wrong in the series. I mean who really expected us to be in this state after the regular season, I was already looking into the second round when we got Portland with HCA. I think I am way more frustrated at our coaching, and especially the attitude and carefree attitude of our stars than Lin.
Lol. When did I say they were equals? I just said they both have the ability to really help win games but also lose them in boneheaded, frustrating ways. It is not a pretty accurate description?
just saying the team has a ton of holes, you already addressed harden/mchale, dwights good but not great, parsons is ok, bev is ok, bench sucks...lin is a **** head, but the irony is rockets might have won in OT if they played him
Actually to say Lin's contribution in the playoff is close to Thabeet is already a compliment. While Thabeet is useless in any offensive situation nor he even is any good on reb and defense ect, but at least he spent his 6 fouls much better than Lin did, which lots of them are dumb fouls and resulting on FTs for the other teams. At least Thabeet foul harder than Lin, isn't that sad?
Hmm sounds like every keyboard joker(s) we have around here. At least he's the definition of effort on those crucial possessions bone headed or not. No mistaking that lost possession was on him, but he's also the only one looking to redeem it. At the end of the day, a L is a L, but to have people hoping he falls on a sword like a Persian turkey ready for a kebab or get hit by a bus; no class. Onward to the next game and hope for the best. But the way this whole series has gone, its second round fodder or sweep.
I just hope Troy D gets more PT tomorrow and lin gets less.He can't make layups, and he's been playing like trash.
Hopefully Lin rides the bench for the rest of the series and stops hurting us. I would like to see Lin benched until he is gone from the team.
Interesting thing i heard from radio analysis saying that is likely not going to happen since Troy is more like your SG and not the ball handler.
Lin will play in Game 5. McHale is not gonna roll the dice with Canaan at this point and Daniels isn't a ballhandler. What would not surprise me though is if Lin's a very tight leash and if he's riding the pine come crunchtime(unless it's a blowout).
I understand due to how shallow we are at PG that this most likely won't happen, despite how much it needs to happen. If we have to play him, I can only hope he is on a 1mm long leash. Screw Lin...
