Uhhh..no. I question your Knicks fan credentials. Starks was a streaky shooter. He was a tough sunofabitch. He was a hot headed player but he was a fearless player and his defense was always there. He helped the team win more often than not. A lot more. Starks and Vernon Maxwell were very similar. Either of them would chew Lin up and spit him out.
Yup 1 play lost the game, there wasn't 5 more min to play after the TO the game ended on Lin's turnover
Pretty much. That's just how basketball works, one play can make a difference. If that play doesn't happen, overtime doesn't happen.
are we allowed to bring Asians to your games...what about taking pics with one and posting it on instagram? your hate for Lin runs deep in your racist heart.
Simply put. Posted this elsewhere, but Lin is far from the only player who has made dumb mistakes this series. He just has the unfortunate distinction of making his very biggest ones when the game is either in hand (or so you'd think) or well within reach.
The sad part is every person who's played in this series has ****ed up more than once. We just are not a very smart team it seems.
So in your mind anything that happened after Lin's TO doesn't count I wish I lived in your fantasy land
If Lin hadn't single handily force OT in Game 3 (granted he partially redeemed himself), I think people would be a tad more forgiving. However, as far as Rockets fans are concerned, Lin effed us over in regulation for both Game 3 and 4 with some really dumb mistakes. Game 5 though! WE CAN DO THIS!
We always find away to shot ourselves in the foot. So easy to pick up your dribble and call timeout. This just furthers let me know that these professional players make the same mistakes a middle school player would make. The pressure is too much for our young and inexperienced team peeps.
Why did everyone here love Yao? No one had a problem with Yi either. Hate comes because ppl feel he's a charlatan who sought pity for being Asian , leaked stories to the media about racism being a factor in him being undrafted then swindled them as he was exposed. You have to realize if the racial element wasnt there that the MEDIA LOVED, ppl would have paid more attention to his game and saw a marginal nbdl player in a lucky situation. You reap what you sow.
There wouldn't have been an OT and subsequent loss if Lin's TO doesn't count, because we would have won. LoF's fail to understand this is why we are so pissed. He already idiotically did similar things the game before.
when lin made that headless chicken run and got stripped from behind, I knew he was going to get crucified.. rightly so....what was he thinking!! I don't understand why he didn't call a Timeout??
There were 40 seconds left in regulation. While there were other mistakes made throughout the game, that turnover was the proximate cause of the game going to overtime. Surely you can understand why people who are fans of this team and were hoping against hope that they'd come home with the series tied are reacting negatively to that. Some going overboard as usual? Sure. But your affinity for Lin aside, I know you have to see why the mistake that was the one that directly pushed the game to OT is magnified beyond mistakes that were made earlier in the game -- likely exacerbated by the fact that McHale had given clear instructions on the play that went disregarded. Maybe not "fair," but surely you can understand the difference. Add this to the fact that he committed the inexplicable foul on Lillard in Game 2 and sent us to OT in Game 3, and well....
in the video i saw mchale make a T motion with his hands to call timeout. why didnt that get recognized?
