Ok this is totally he said/ we said now. I realize what I saw and have seen for 2 years. Somewhere this winter my wife and I turned to each other, both Lin fans for sure, and at the same moment and talked about it. " Jeremy Lin is not working out. he doesn't seem to know what to do at the most critical times in games. He's OUT OF CONTROL." Nothing has changed since that time. Go Rockets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uh, yes we can. If the Rockets lose this series by falling at Portland in Game 6, we can point to Jeremy Lin and say he gave this one away with that turnover last night. Because instead of losing 4-2, it could've and should've been a 3-3 tie with Game 7 back in Houston. And this sort of thing is not unprecedented you know. Isiah Thomas threw away Game 5 against the Celtics in 1987("There's a steal by Bird!") and in effect cost the Pistons a trip to the Finals that year. The difference of course was that Isiah more than made up for it the following seasons in Detroit. Lin will likely never get an opportunity with the Rockets to redeem himself(unless he somehow does it in this series).
Agreed. The Rockets are no different than any other Houston team. Texans, Astros, even the Oilers. They'll never truly reach greatness, because they have nothing to play for, but money or personal pride. We can't get behind the Rockets because of one player. We can't get behind the Texans, we can't get behind the Astros... not until they win anyway, & still we'll complain. There are some good fans out there, there are some great fans here. Those people are as frustrated as any, but they don't go & show their butts about it. This is the 4th best team in the West & they got to be the 4th best team in the West with Lin... maybe in spite of Lin, or in spite of Lin & McHale if you can believe that. We can't get behind them. Not 100% they haven't proven enough to us yet. I'm not asking anyone to be sunshine & rainbows, or to ignore what is obvious. I'm asking you to pretend you love this team like you love your son, your brother, or your best friend. When they're down, they need your support. They don't need you exacerbating about every little mistake. "Jeremy, you fckd up. You'll get another chance, make it count."
I hear what you are saying and know that games 4 & 5 are viewed as more critical than games 1 & 2. But, if the rockets win one of their first games at home, they would still be in the driver's seat heading into game 5.
I do support Lin...finishing this season (or what's left of it) with his a$$ firmly planted on the ****ing bench where it belongs
yea. i think they're supporting harden too. and parsons in the 2nd half of this series. i think the only legit players they might have put fear in em so far is howard and daniels. lol.
What's done is done. Games 1 and 2 were lost and the Rockets looked dead in the water heading into Portland. But they were in command of both Games 3 and 4 and nearly lost the former and did lose the latter thanks to bonehead plays in the final minute of regulation by Lin. Do other players deserve blame as well? Of course. Parsons is going to have to answer for his pathetic play. Yes, he was brilliant in the first halves of Games 1 and 4, but the rest of the series he's been a no-show. He had those pathetic turnovers in the 3rd quarter last night when the team could've built on their lead and he's been badly outplayed by Batum. Harden was terrible from the field in the first 3 games and he's looked like he's mentally checked out late in Games 1, 2, and 4(at least in OT). And that's just his offensive woes. Don't get me started on his defense. Bev has been awful shooting the ball in every game other than Game 3. And his defense has been lacking at times considering how Lillard is lighting us up. Dwight had the bricked free throws in the 4th quarter in Game 1 and the turnovers in OT in Game 4. But otherwise he's been pretty solid this series. See? That's the thing with the rest of the team. You can point to stretches where they played well and at least justify why they're out there on the floor in the first place. It's hard to do that with Lin. He was really good in OT in Game 1 and he had an ok Game 3 aside from his stupid turnover in OT and missed layup at the end of regulation. But that's a very small sample of good play over the course of 4 games.
Lol no one believes you. If not this moniker, you'll register under another name to come and talk about Lin some more.
Check this out Lin fans. I'm giving Jeremy Lin one more chance. I'm sure he put this game behind him and learned from his mistakes and get better for the rest of the series. If he plays decent then he has my respect and if he still plays crap and makes turn over then GOODBYE LIN AND LIN FANS.
What is this guy doing to his trade value?! It's going to cost us 2 future 1sts, cash, Asik, and Daniels to dump him so that we can sign Carmelo. Wonderful.
LOL.....a game ago he only scored 4 OT points and made a critical hustle play and critical pass for the GW basket. To say he doesnt always make the right play is true, but say he just doesnt know what to do is off base.
