Not that soon. We're probably stuck with him another year.

If the story is true - and I have my doubts - I would definitely not blame anyone.

Didn't Morey specifically say that the player option was what held them back? I could have sworn I heard him say it in a radio interview.

. . . And I bet Les still doesn't regret it with all the interest and money Lin brings in from overseas. Guess who was the most talked about player on the internet in this series BEFORE this last game? Jeremy Lin.

Morey's voice has speak to rescue him

this time the story is probably true

The story is dedicated to Morey's defender( how tried to justified Lin acquisition and the pass on Dragic) and to Lin Lovers.

Props to everybody who was against let Dragic go

Only dumb-asses believed that excuse. Les gave him an objective. Get me Jeremy Lin and his fans! What Les didn't know is Lin is not a national hero. His appeal is to the younger crowd and teenage boys. Those Asian families that bought tickets to see Yao are long gone.

-Source comes out the morning after McHale cough's up a game about a McHale rumor.

-Source comes out the morning after Lin cough's up a game about a Lin/Dragic rumor.

Look- both of these rumors are probably true, but the timing is pretty funny and Cyberx is obviously is poring gas on the fire.

-OF COURSE Morey wanted to keep Dragic, but the sticking point reported at the time was the final year on his contract, and wanting a team option vs. player option. Morey said himself that those contracts are almost always considered the worst in the league and un-tradable, and setting up the Rockets for a massive overhaul trade was the team motto at the time, and they were very open about that much.

It was only after the Rockets let Dragic go that then they shifted their focus on Lin oddly enough. I dont believe that there ever was a Lin or Dragic decision before then. Maybe the tables where already set, and Les stepped in and said give me Lin (even though there was every indication they weren't going to be able to get him anyways), but I dunno. Something happened there. My guess is Morey was more than willing to not sign anyone, and yes he did get some pressure to go get Lin when Les & Tad Brown figured out how their ticket sales & TV coverage were going to slip.

Honestly, the Rockets decision to sign Lin and let Dragic go made sense at the time. It sucks now because Dragic has had such a great year, but its revisionist history. Given the situation Les wanted to sell seats in a rebuilding year.... no shame in wanting your business to still do well in a down year.

Also there was no indication that Lin would be this bad this year especially after having such a good second half of last year. Trying to get fans to blame Les for this playoff collapse because of his insistence on signing Lin to a SHORT 3 YEAR DEAL when they had nobody on the roster at the time is a pretty unfair argument.

A more compelling argument is why Les chose to go with McHale over Lawrence Frank, and Dwayne Casey. That was reported officially to have been Les' decision by Jonathan Feigan.

Morey knows garbage when he sees it. "Linsanity" was an ESPN-fueled mirage. This loser had serious flaws in his game, namely TOs, back at his apex. Stephen A Smith called out this loser even back then.

A few had already guessed ... But there are still some who continue to be in denial that this had Les Alexander's influence all over it.

This doesn't make any sense because they story we were told was the reason Dragic was let go was to chase a star

Generally speaking, people's conversations tend to be relevant topics, Morey and Les aren't automatons, they're going to talk about the things happening in the game and how they relate to the past.

I know a big reason Dwight is here is because of McHale.

I know they have respect for each other (SVG and Dwight)

But I don't know if he would want him as a coach etc.
