Carmelo or not, DM better do something after this series (win or lose) to appease our All-Stars.

Players call their friends after games to vent...

Dwight did not come here to lose in the playoffs in this manner. He will "play the game" of support, but he's adamant about some changes. Not only personnel, but approach to game, too.

Dan Fegan has been a busy man over the last couple of days.

    Just a share.

Love my Rockets fans. Our pain is horrible right now. Hopefully it turns to love or we turn over some leaves next season.

If you bring in Melo you most definitely have to bring in a new coach. Someone that is going to be a hard a#$ on defense.

I think Melo has been an underrated defender at times when he gives effort (which has actually been during his time in NY surprisingly), but he'd most likely be playing the 4 a good majority of the time, and I'd worry about this team being such an offensive heavy team in the regular season that they'd over-rely on scoring a gazillion points to win games instead of getting stops.

Also, that's a ton of isolation basketball. You really need a true PG to make everything happen for this team, and get the ball to the right spots. Without the right coaching, system, and PG, I have legit concerns about bringing in yet another guy who boggs down the offense.

However, the talent is high enough to where you have to make the move if you can. Very seldom in a franchises history do they get the opportunity to acquire 3 superstars. I think you gotta do it, and just work you a#$ off to get the right supporting pieces around those stars. It all probably has to start with your coach afterwards. I think McHale is a bit out of his league coaching a team with that much firepower and volatility to counter.

Trade Lin away to New York as fast as you can, then fire McHale. I'm sure fans in NY would appreciate Lin a lot more than here.

Busy doing what??... Getting rid of Lin's contract for Morey?

Actually, it wouldn't shock me if he was helping setup trades for Morey, but you get the humor I'm sure. I just dont see right now what options they really have during the playoffs. Later on when teams start really prepping for the draft, that seems to be when the phones start heating up. I do think its going to be a busy off-season for Morey once again, and I do think that Fegan will actually help the Rockets this offseason if he helps broker a deal or two unless there is friction between him and Morey.

Fegan and Dwight probably dont have to put much pressure at all on the front office & Les for a coaching change. I said it from the beginning of the season that McHale wouldn't be fired mid-season, but will be evaluated with other coaches in consideration this Summer almost surely. The only way they keep McHale is if pretty much all the players beg to keep him, and and even then, if there is a much better coach out there available, they wont hesitate to upgrade. There seems to be a chance that they just replace Sampson with a Scott Skiles type defensive type, but I think its much more likely they make the change from the top instead of taking that much power away from McHale, and thinking there wont be heads butting.

Back when JVG was fired and Adelman was hired, the move was made because Morey believed Adelman could upgrade the play of Yao and T-Mac with Adelman's system & style of coaching. I think that will be the same consideration when Morey looks at coaching for Harden & Howard. I dont think Fegan and Dwight need to be that concerned with the Front office doing the right thing for Dwight & the team to go deeper into the playoffs.

Chicago making it to the second round is irrelevant. They're in the Leastern Conference and struggling against the Wizards. And even if they beat them and win the series, they would have still only have just beaten the Wizards. Not sure how that would impress anyone.

    Sigh

Melo doesn't improve the PG play. Melo actually will hurt the D.

Some of you need to step back and understand what exactly is going on with the team. Address those things, instead of just always going after the biggest name available. Look at what Portland did.

They upgraded their C position from JJ Hickson to Robin Lopez. Then they got Mo Williams and Dorell Wright. Then they had internal improvement from nearly all their young players and got one more year under their new coach's philosophy and improved from 33 to 54 wins in just one season.

Don't need a homerun move every year.

Finally we can get rid of Ricky Davis 2.0 aka Chandler Parsons

Being a Ricky Davis =some who puts up empty stats but in the clutch doesn't show up and who's thinks he's to pretty to play defense

So you don't like our starting PG scoring 6 points in 40 min.

Melos a better defender than Parsons

And Parsons is a MUCH better defender than Harden. I'm waiting for some of you to realize how bad he is. Where's the accountability?

Until you guys (and the coaches/management) understands this and actually calls him out, going after more stars will do nothing to improve this team's playoff prospects.

I say trade Lin, Asik, DMo, and McHale to the Clippers for CP3 and Doc.

I'm wondering what Dwight's view of Stan Van Gundy is these days, is it the ship sailed into the sunset or is it we're going full circle.

Carmelo is a 4, at least in his modern form. He would absolutely be a 4 next to howard

The Rockets were rumored to be hot on the trail of SVG back before they ended up having to decide between Casey, McHale, and Frank. I assume if he was the #1 target at that point, and they were still trying to acquire Dwight, they would still like the idea of trying to match them up again.

But yes, Dwight and Stan have buried the hatchet long since, and Dwight even called Stan before making his decision on which team to join.

I dont know if either of them would encourage the re-marriage but I think they would definitely be open to it, and I think you will see his name mentioned again here pretty soon.
