It's far from over. Next game is at home, where we need to take care of business. Game 6 in Portland. This team has proven it can win there. Game 7...at home...Clutch City will be revived!
It's not about being homer, it's about believing in your team. This isn't a 1 seed we are playing like last year. This is a 4 and 5 matchup and I just believe we can come back and win this series. We haven't been blown out. Take off your little faith shades and put on your clutch city shades homie.
Maybe not. We might lose in 5. But there's no way the Rockets win 3 in a row over Portland. Not with the same mistakes being made every game.
I want a championship, not being a mediocre second roundish team. It's basically the same argument for tanking. Short term loss (when you weren't going all the way anyway) for semi short and long term gain.
Game 1: Rockets up 11 in the 4th, choke, lose in OT Game 3: Rockets up 10 in the 4th, choke, still win in OT Game 4: Rockets up 10 in the 4th, choke, lose in OT That is a inability to close games, and that is on the coach. To be fair to Mchale...it doesn't help when Harden consistently shoots below 50%, Lin makes dumb play after dumb play, and the defense and the rebounding are consistently horrible. I'm all for believing in the Rockets, but they give me no reason to. The Rockets should be up 3-1, but they've blown almost every opportunity they've gotten.

In that case, 80/20 Portland, i only remember one game that we won on TNT, n it was vs Memphis when Harden shot over 25 FT's.
As long as it is 5 on 8 we have NO CHANCE. Especially with McHale coaching this team, too much to overcome. Harden is waking up and we are going to need 3 MVP games from him and Howard to get us out of this one.
Didn't we also beat the Knicks on TNT or was that from last year? So yeah like 1 or 2 games. TNT shts a curse. Charles and even Kenny is a btch these days.
I just don't know if I see our team bouncing back after that loss. I have all the hope in the world, but I'm not sure.
Harden to the rescue. Dude is going to average 30 points, 7 assists, 1 steals and 1 turnover on 48% FG over the next 3 games. Book it.
There's still a chance, we got 2 games in Houston, game 6 is our game 7, we almost won in Portland twice. Not over yet Helps that Portland is getting big headed now, if the end up losing next 2, i don't think they can mentally pull out a great game 7.
I agree.. actually we have a very young team and whilst we were getting calls during the regular season, we need to find other ways to win now. McHale is a young coach and is learning on the job along with Harden, Parsons and Beverley. I'm done complaining about bad officiating. The sooner we can move forward, the better. We really need a defensive assistant coach to work with Harden. It's shocking how it's almost five on four with him on the floor. Dwight covers for him like crazy. With other great players, when their shots aren't falling they have their defensive game to fall back on. He's a fantastic player but has room to improve other aspects of his game. It's been a fantastic series as a basketball fan and even a Rocket fan. We've supported this team through the Luis Scola, Kyle Lowry and Trevor Ariza years. Odds are most of us here will continue to support our team regardless of the outcome of the series.
You have no idea how that Locker room is right now. I can tell you that this team looked mentally defeated. This isn't Hakeem and the rockets of ol'
no he wont. he's a headcase. When Dwight started getting the ball he just checked out. he doesn't want it.
