We took Brooks, Lowry, and Dragic for granted.

Enough said, our point guard situation is scary.
It might be time to try Canaan and pray he is a miracle worker like Daniels.

Lin has been given enough chances, Beverley hasn't been the same since that knee injury.

And for some reason McHale, in a series where we sorely need defense, leaves Hamilton on the bench, so basically our Brooks trade was worthless.

Watching Lowry ball in Canada hurts my soul. Blah blah Harden trade blah blah.

    Should have kept him.

I would like a point guard who can dribble better than Trevor Ariza.

No. More like people on this bbs had lost their damn mind when they didn't want to give up Lin, Asik, and Parsons for RAJON RONDO.

See what I meant by the brooks trade? He's a vet playoff pg. No doubt we would have done better with him.

The difference between having Dragic and Lin was a player option.
    Can you imagine that?
Morey is walking on thin ice.

An option Dragic would have exercised anyway.

I don't understand your logic and I'm pretty sure you don't either.

We're going to need a point guard above all else in the off season.
I'd rather have Felton than Lin.
And I think Beverley is pretty much done, his meniscus injury has destroyed his ability to keep up with quicker guards.

What are you saying? No Lowry trade, no Harden. No Harden, no Dwight. NO PLAYOFFS.

"In morey we trust"--the dumbest phrase I've ever heard.

A GM who holds more ground than god on this board hires mchale, let's dragon walk, signs Lin to a worse contract, and then trades brooks for peanuts. Oh did I mention his power grabbing moves to have puppet coaches?

Can we please stop with this hindsight bs? At the time, a player option just wasn't ideal for the direction we were heading into at the team. In his first year, he was very mediocre and wasn't close to living up to that contract. Now that he is, he can opt out for more money. And also, do you really think he would be the guy he is now with Harden?

wtf do you mean? Dragon already showed how good he was when he was here. Lin had like 10 fluke games, the logical choice was clear

This is so sad we have lin, if we had Lowry or Dragic we'd be up now.

A player option would not have hurt and we wouldn't have had to worry about it for years down the road. And yes, he would have been good alongside Harden. Remember when Harden and Lin were first together they were parallel on the wings and passed to each other. Lin had a decent string of games where he scored a decent bit.

The only reason the point guard position has been marginalized for shots now is because they are just not consistent offensive threats. Lin can create, or at least used to be able to, but now look at him. He doesn't even take threes anymore. DEFENSE ARE PLAYING HIM LIKE RONDO. Beverley is good for an occasional drive/floater and the spot up three.

Dragic is a creator. You would need two perimeter juggernaut defenders to hold our backcourt, and that would free up Dwight and prevent double teams off of Lin's man, like they are doing now.

A player option was the difference between 1st round exit, and a more serious chance at contending.

I know its hindsight, but its really frustrating. Didn't realize how badly losing Dragic was going to bite our asses.
