ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Blazers 4/27/2014 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 4)

I expect the Blazers to start the 3rd strong. We need to really scrap these last two quarters.

We were up 11 with 7 mins left in Game 3, and PDX sent it to OT.

 

They are finally giving us makeup calls for Game 1 BS's.

I hate how when ever Portland scores its hardens fault. Everyone has given up baskets tonight

 

we are the aggressor... seriously, Howard is finally get called properly. Adam Silver in the house might, just might, have something to do with being called properly.

 

Not really... Portland has gotten in the bonus easily in both quarters, and they called the phantom offensive foul on Harden, and the bogus technical on Dwight.

The Blazers aren't playing well at all... partly because of the Rockets, and partly because they don't seem to know what they want to do.

They started just going to whoever Harden was guarding... which forced them away from Lilliard/Aldridge. They've definitely gone away from just simply posting up LMA thanks to the TT.

They'll probably give a hefty dose of PNR's in the second half and force the Rockets to rotate efficiently.

Great 1st half, but I'm not gonna get all hyped up, still 2 halves left.

 

Harden's laziness on defense bothers me to no end.

Batum gets by him on the first step out by the 3pt line. Harden throws a hand at him and then stands still. Batum gets all the way in for a layup. Harden throws his hands up like it was the team's fault and not his.

No accountability for our lazy superstar.

 

It's such a simple concept. They play Lopez and LMA we play TT. They don't play Lopez we don't play Omer. Took way too long to figure that out

Rockets got some calls in that first half. The reason it felt that way was because it was similar to the regular season. We attack the rim so much more, so we deserve the calls.

 

Agreed. We are playing defense tonight. Harden sitting out in the first might have helped there.

I'm not even comfortable with this 10 point lead. Our d is freaking terrible.

 

No they not. Asik just single hand check LMA and got called for a cheap foul. Asik got shoved in the back going to the rim. Get's shoved for the loose ball rebound etc.. No call. Parsons and James get the usually body check at the rim and no call or no and 1. Portland still getting all the little touch fouls and flops.

 

Agreed. Bunch of Harden-hating morons, who I guess are also Rockets fans. I guess.
