Correct me if I missed it, but I don't believe he ever said he didn't want minorities at his games. He said he didn't want his gf hanging out in the spotlight with them. TMZ just rilled with the more controversial headline.

From a business standpoint, sure. And if his personal beliefs led to discrimination of any kind in the workplace, of course he should be removed in that case as well.

But just having personal beliefs that I dislike would not be enough for me to demand his removal.

You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games.[/SIZE]

Yes, that is referring to his gf not bringing them to his games.

Elgin Baylor tried to sue because of this and his case was tossed and the NBA said nothing at all.

Now if it was Isaiah Thomas instead of Sterling people would believe it very easy

He asked me, and I have no idea how anybody can be a Clippers fan and act like they don't know anything about this guy. Its common knowledge. He benefitted to getting GREAT draft pick players, letting them go because he didnt care to pay them anything, grabbed more, rinse repeat, and this is how they earned the stigma they had in the past.

and just to give Clippy more

    V: I don't understand, I don't see your views. I wasn't raised the way you were raised.

DS: Well then, if you don't feel—don't come to my games. Don't bring black people, and don't come.

V: Do you know that you have a whole team that's black, that plays for you?

DS: You just, do I know? I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them?Do I know that I have—Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game? Is there 30 owners, that created the league?

My dude feels like he's the reason the league started and he's the reason they have food and shelter

I still don't follow your argument. You said he doesn't want black people at his games. I know for fact that isn't the case because if there's one thing Sterling is, he's a greedy SOB and he doesn't care who comes to his games as long as they pay. All of the quotes are about his gf being seen with black people when she's out (or at his games).

LOL, I've been the one saying all along that anyone who knows anything about the Clippers isn't surprised by this at all-- and that includes (espeically) Rivers and the Clippers players. I'm not sure what you think I'm saying. I've said many times I totally believe Sterling is a racist and a cheap SOB, but, as a fan, that doesn't affect me one iota (until now, apparently). There are a lot of unscrupulous owners in the NBA and a lot of unscrupulous people in power in general. Individually we have to decide if we want to be outraged by this or not.

Im not outraged but I dont like what he does and its not new to me, but it is new to alot of other people im finding out.

That said you should be because the Clippers wont be contending ever again once the current players leave if this guy is still around.

Well, I don't know how this affects the Clippers this season and beyond. It's very easy to kneejerk and assume it's a disaster, or maybe it'll blow over or Sterling will resign or be forced to sell or something. I really don't know. I imagine if it gets to the point where it actually affects the on court product (eg, players boycotting or what not), then the NBA will be forced to step in.

My points, which people may take as contrarian or because I'm a Clipper fan, is that if people were really so righteous then the outrage and action should have been taken a long time ago, because this isn't a big surprise to anyone affiliated with the Clippers.

I could care less about the Clippers and their fans. Sterling however, needs to receive his due, whatever that is. He has been evading it far too long.
