I bet 95% of the people who are criticizing him have racial biases themselves or have made racist comments or jokes with their friends against other races. The movie title "white man can't jump" is racist. So this guy got (probably illegally) recorded saying it. It's bad but many people are such hypocrites for overreacting. That being said, f this guy.

Again, there was no pressure for them not to. I'm telling you as a fact, there will be pressure from the black community for these people to stand up and do something about it.

Why do you think they are already responding to it? Whether they knew it before hand or not, they know they will never be respected by their own community if they just do nothing about it.

That's why Doc Rivers and Chris Paul already have pretty strong statements against this. They will continue to play because it's inevitable that the NBA will get this guy to sale his team within the next year any ways.

You're right people have known about it in the NBA for years...and this is the only time the Clippers have signed a major superstar in his prime in quite some time. Who knows why that is...coincidence...finally having another superstar player to lure one...DS finally wanting to spend...but their history when it came to this stuff isn't that great, and it's a LA team! Houston has had more star players come to it's city than the LA Clippers over the years.

Nice to sprinkle in some stupid, inaccurate comments regarding the Trayon Martin case. How can one on the wrong side of a issue label others "dead wrong", "irresponsible" & "not knowing the facts" but same time be totally be ignorant to the actual facts? Welcome to America

Personally, im glad obama commented on this issue. People seem forget that he has first hand experience on dealing with the racism/discrimination that exist in this country. If you dont acknowledge the problem, it will always exist.

For those that dont understand why this is important is should understand the effect it will have on the nba as a business and how far we have progressed as a society in terms of racial inequality.

And if that still doesnt matter to you. It matters to many of us.

Strange that in a story about Sterling and his racist comments the person you feel the need to bash is Obama. You seem oddly obsessed.

The NBA should fine him a good amount of money and then just say that his views don't represent the NBA etc etc and that's it.

The real consequence of this should be that good players in the future will refuse to play for the Clippers while he is the owner.

As much as we don't like his opinion, it is his right to have it but at the same time it is the right of the players, coaches and other possible Clippers employees to not associate with him or his organization if they can help it.

People keep saying players wont go there (which they wont) but what about AA refs? they are about to blow ALOOTTTTTT of calls in clippers favor. They will banish them to lottery picks and playoffs exits for a long long time

i predict from this day forward that all african american refs WILL be biased against clippers. Clippers, you were beginning to be good.. but you now suck again! The AA refs will not call in games lightly for you for a looonggggg time

If any white refs make calls against the rockets in favor of the clippers when our teams match up. My new excuse will be racism!!

The statements of Sterling are disgusting and condemnable. However, all racist statements are equally despicable when hurled towards any race including the Whites, Asians, Latinos, Blacks, etc. These statements often find their way in this board but there seems to be very little protest especially if these posts are directed towards other races. Outrage against all races deserve equal condemnation and not only when it is directed towards a certain race. Just my two cents about this issue.

Sterling is the closest thing you have to a plantation owner in the 21st century, hates black people but uses them to make him wealthy.

Everyone is calling for his suspension but how does suspending an owner hurt him, he still rakes in the cash and it has no effect on the team. Silver and the owners have to force him out of the league and that ain't easy.

The "facts" on Donald Sterling have been out there for years - anti-discrimination housing lawsuits, heckling his own players, making racially-charged statements toward the players, being used by people within the organization, etc. He is despicable and only truly sad people would jump to his defense after decades of such behavior crystallize in one racist, ignorant recording.

Enter you. I know you won't reply to anybody, Ketchup Bot, because you are one do the worst posters on here. You swoop into thread, take an intellectual **** on them and then never reappear. Thanks for bringing in a totally unrelated case to this just so you could merge more Obama synapses in your brain. Please don't come back.

Written, directed, and produced by white people. A comedy based on mocking racial stereotypes of many races using a stereotype for a title is racist how, exactly?

Your girlfriend told me about it last night. Who cares who directed it? A title of a movie that states that a certain race is athletically inferior is racist. Imagine the movie "black men can't speak properly", that would be racist and would never fly. Racism goes both ways.
