MJ was a beast on the court greater than LBJ but his real life personality is horrid. LOL I love it, sure it serves no purpose since MJ isn't on the court but knowing MJ's ego he has to hate the fact that LBJ is dissing him lol. As others have said MJ never really gave LBJ any respect, and when he was asked about LBJ going to Miami he could've said the reality of the situation but instead he released some BS about wanting to beat Magic and Bird, not play with them.

Fun facts:

1) Magic and Bird were near retirement when MJ came into the scene
2) MJ lost to the Detroit bad boys for like 6 years in a row before Phil Jackson and the Jordanneers arrived, during which time everybody called him selfish and raised questions about his ability to win, mostly the same stuff said about LBJ in Cleveland.
3) MJ played with his own big 3 of Rodman, Pippen and a host of solid players. the Chicago team was so good by itself after MJ retired they actually reached the NBA finals. Contrast with MJ's contemporaries like Clyde and Human Highlight reel playing on one man teams or Hakeem playing with Sampson and a backcourt that got busted by cocaine.

I mean, if MJ was really competitive why didn't he go head-to-head with Pippen and instead made him his sidekick? How is this any different from LBJ playing with Wade? I just hate it that everyone old here is drinking the MJ kool-aid and can't seem to separate the Space Jam MJ from the real MJ. MJ was definitely an amazing player but to see the reaction of the posters here it's like he won every game he played in and scored 80 pts a night

1) MJ and Bird near retirement??? Check what year Bird/Magic rookie seasons were and when they retired. Now check when Jordan's rookie season was.

2) Lost to Pistons for 6 years??? Try 3 years. Guess who were the other team that Jordan lost to prior to the Pistons? Boston Celtics. That's right, Jordan had to pass Pistons and Celtics and other tough teams in the very tough eastern conference in the 80s compared to the joke we have had in the eastern conference in recent years.

3) Jordan with Big 3 of Pippen and Rodman??? FYI, Jordan won his first 3 rings without Rodman. Another FYI, Pippen was drafted by the Bulls.

Get off Lebron's jockstrap. His a great player, one of the best ever....but Lebron's jock strappers who want to claim him as the best ever right now are nothing but jock strappers.

For a player to dethrone what most people regard as the greatest player in the modern era, he has to not only equal, but surpass his accomplishments and his dominance (statistically) not only in the regular season but also on the playoffs.

All Lebron has done so far compared to Jordan has somewhat compared his dominance (statistically) during the regular season. Everything else (i.e. Rings, Playoff's, Finals, Records etc..) is not even close. Maybe one day? Perhaps, but his still a long way off.
