If he comes off the bench, then no question Howard would get more touches, who has been an effective scorer. Maybe Harden better as a bench player, just like he was in Oklahoma.
Harden JUST got his mojo back, and you're wanting to dilute his confidence by putting him on the bench? Jones went to the bench for Asik, because it presented us with an advantage. Having Harden on the second unit nets us no advantage.
He almost caused a turnover that Lin and Daniels saved. Howard has clearly been the better player, so why not have two strong scoring units, like how the Thunder was?
Cleverly disguised as HOH thread, which in reality has nothing to do with Lin thread, which will be misconstrued as such because this **** is getting old.
I'd rather lose this series with him as a starter then win with him coming off the bench. The only way this franchise wins a championship is if Harden becomes a superstar in the playoffs, and that only comes with him gaining playoff experience.
OP, did you see the seasons he's had as playing the #1 option on a playoff team? I understand your logic, but I think you're constricting the container of your argument because it works there in isolation. Your are saying we need to play better, and that in order it for it to work is for Harden to take less 'junk' shots. If you think limiting his minutes is a better option than having him naturally come back to his effectiveness than you are highly mistaken. You argument works in the context of few games sprinkled with terrible calls and some bad luck--not reality.
Looking at your post history, you haven't posted a single thing about the Rockets this season. Congratulations on a very misguided first attempt.
You know if you try to call it out before it even has a chance to be realized or not, it'll keep on going forever. You literally are making it something it's not, and then complaining about it being that something.
